Can the Raiders survive Week One without Brock Bowers, or is this a disaster waiting to happen?

Brock Bowers got drafted over to the NFL and signed with the Las Vegas Raiders this year. The former collegiate footballer saw his career put to a quick halt during the week 1 match of the 2024 pre-season. Now another first-week match is approaching and the big question is: Will Bowers be able to play in it?

The young athlete last time got his foot injured. But since then, the updates about his injury have not been anything positive. Now, the head coach has provided some interesting updates to the fans.

Brock Bowers was playing against the Minnesota Vikings when he endured this injury to the foot. The team didn’t provide much clarity as to what happened to him. However, the latest statement released by the head coach, Antonio Pierce, reveals that Bowers has made significant progress.

Overlooking the results, the head coach for the Las Vegas team said, “Yeah, I feel really good about that, to be honest. Just again, I’m going to go back to protecting the young guy. Sometimes you get in the league, you have got to be smart, and sometimes you have got to protect them from themselves. So, that’s all it is.

The AFC West team also updated the injury report online. This showed the practice progress that Bowers made throughout the week. On Friday, the footballer attended the full practice and the final blank remark regarding his attendance against the Chargers suggests that he might be showing up for the game.

There is one more injured athlete that you may want the update for.

Jordan Love’s injury update so far

The Raiders’ tight end got injured in the pre-season and had to rest as a physical precaution. Jordan Love, on the other hand, was injured during his week 1 match in the season-opener for his team. This happened during the first-ever NFL match in Brazil. Although the Packers were already losing to the Eagles, the final moments saw the Green Bay quarterback getting sacked. This, unfortunately, gave him an injury. So, while Brock Bowers would probably be back during his own season-opener, Love may have to rest awhile.

Have an interesting take?

There are no official confirmations yet regarding what has happened to the Packers QB. However, ankle injury has been ruled out for good. Apart from that, an MRI will be done to find out what exactly is Love’s leg going through. This will help the medical team treat him better faster. Depending on the severity of the injury, Jordan Love will or won’t play during the next Packers match. The situation seems a bit more grim compared to that of Brock Bowers’, but we wish a speedy recovery to both the stars, hoping to see them on the gridiron soon.

Do you think Brock Bowers will be back against Los Angeles? Stay tuned to find out.
