Jerry Jones’ 2024 portfolio has been weird, to say the least. The preseason all-in [for SB charge] claim, meme face [after the humbling by the Lions on his birthday], and then saying he is ‘happy’ with the 3 wins. When he said that, the Cowboys were 3-4. Three games later, their wins still read 3, but the losses have crept to a 7. Uh-oh!
Injuries haven’t exactly done the Cowboys any favors. But hang tight, Cowboys Nation—there might be some respite from the bug and the curse. Wide receiver Brandin Cooks might finally be back in action just in time for the week 12 showdown against the Commanders. Can Dak Prescott and Cooks rekindle their early-season chemistry and spark a turnaround?

The team has officially designated Cooks to return from IR. He’s set to practice this week and could suit up on Sunday. Before the injury, his numbers don’t really say that he was cooking with Dak Prescott—71st among WRs in PPR points through week 4.
But his speed and experience might be enough to push the O-line moving like they are representing America’s Team. So, what’s it going to be: a Thanksgiving revival or another serving of disappointment?

Brandin Cooks isn’t just another name on the Cowboys’ roster—he’s the guy you count on when you need a dash to the end zone! With speed that could make the Flash jealous (4.33-second 40-yard dash, anyone?) and a track record of being a vertical threat, Cooks has carved a niche in NFL history.
He’s one of only two players to log 1,000-yard seasons with four different teams. Talk about consistency. But for Cowboys fans, his leadership might be even more valuable than his stats. Cooks is the guy rallying the huddle, reminding everyone to shake off the last play and keep grinding.

Right now, though, the Cowboys could use a lot more than pep talks. Sitting at 3-7 after a rough loss to the Texans, they’ve been in freefall. Injuries haven’t helped, but the latest update from head coach Mike McCarthy offers a glimmer of hope: Cooks, out since late September with a knee injury, could suit up against the Commanders. Can he do the damage repair? Well, it’s somewhat up for debate.
Brandin has not been cooking this season. Just nine catches for 91 yards and a single touchdown. But if there’s one thing we know about him, it’s that he’s a winner when it counts. And with Dallas clinging to a faint flicker of postseason dreams, now would be the perfect time for Cooks to remind everyone why he’s being hyped. I mean, can save some honor for Jerry Jones in front of the media at least.
