How safe are NFL players when even a night out can turn into a life-threatening ordeal?

As if playing football wasn’t risky enough, now NFL players are getting shot for no reason. A couple of months ago, someone tried to rob Ricky Pearsall and shot him in the chest and now it’s a Denver Broncos player. The news is pretty widespread right now and yes, Josh Reynolds surviving the incident was nothing short of a miracle.

James Palmer, a Denver Insider for Bleacher Report had more to add on to the Josh Reynolds saga. He took to X and posted an update on his situation. “Speaking to sources within the #broncos, WR Josh Reynolds miraculously was treated for what is described as only minor injuries and released within hours of what only can be described as a traumatic situation in the early hours of Friday morning,” Palmer wrote on X.

According to the reports, the incident happened on Friday so it’s been nearly a week since the tragedy took place. Since then, the Denver Broncos have been taking good care of the receiver. Moreover, he’s also been participating in team activities like exercise, meetings, and other routine things related to football.

Palmer further continued, “He was in immediate contact with the organization and the team has been providing him any care he needs as a victim of this crime. All week Reynolds has been with the team at the facility, in meetings, the weight room, etc. as he attempts to come back off of IR (finger surgery).”

But there is some very important information missing from this post. There were a total of three victims but Reynolds was shot in his arms and in the back of his head. It’s a miracle because somehow, his injuries are described as something “minor,” for which, he’s lucky.

There were other people who were also caught in the crossfire and almost everyone reported that they were being followed by a person. The police triangulated the GPS locations of these callers. And they found the area of crime to be South Quebec Street and East Union Avenue.

A gunman shot the Denver Broncos wide receiver along with many others in the incident. Reynolds was shot in the arm and the back of his head. We don’t know about Josh Reynolds’ whereabouts at the time. However, the court documents suggest that the victims had been at a strip club named Shotgun Willies and left around 2:45 AM.

The police have arrested Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza for the shooting. They were at the strip club, just watching the victims. The two men entered the establishment after midnight and left just as the victims did. They followed them onto the highway and even shot at them. We don’t know where Josh Reynolds was amidst all this.

Charlesworth said that he was “helping” a friend and didn’t shoot at anyone. Instead, per the reported perpetrator, the shots came from other cars. This was a 9NEWS report and feels like a developing story. Many elements are missing, and hopefully, they will be cleared in time.

Meanwhile, we hope that the victims of this shooting recover quickly.
