So, is Joe Burrow‘s ‘early bedtime’ sleep his key to victory? Cincinnati Bengals’s QB is currently making waves for his longest 47-yard TD, against the New York Giants on SNF. Seemingly, he believes in taking early and ‘well-rested’ sleep every day.
Previously, in November 2023, he revealed the real reason for his early bedtime routine. “You’ve got to get your sleep to recover. If you want to be your best, you’ve got to sleep and let your body recover to maximize everything you can get out of your athleticism. Depending on the time of day, I’ve got a routine. Every day I go to bed at a certain time,” he remarked.
Clearly, his early Bedtime approach helped him to recover from a calf strain that restricted him from the first four games of the last season. Allegedly, his early bedtime strategy also helped him to improve his performance and win NFL MVP.

Reportedly, Burrow goes to bed at 8 p.m. every night. During an interview, the NFL veteran QB also disclosed the impact of his ‘eat-right’, and ‘sleep-right’, routine. He revealed that the intellectual abilities of several other seasoned quarterbacks led him to improve his routine, helping him to gain success. “Just being around guys that do it the right way, that takes care of their body right, eat right, sleep right. All that plays into it,” he remarked earlier.
With his impressive early ‘bedtime’ routine, he even inspired many of his teammates and NFL fans during football season.
Joe Burrow’s early bedtime routine regimen inspires many
Earlier, his former teammate and current Titans, WR Tyler Boyd, also adored Burrow’s impressive early bedtime routine. He revealed that he generally does not text him after 8 p.m. He knows that he ‘won’t get a response’ as Burrow most likely sleeps during this time each day. And, of course, he likes his early sleeping strategy.
Not only that but this ex-Bengals WR Cris Collinsworth also previously spoke about Burrow’s ‘too early’ bedtime routine. In 2023, during the Sunday Night Football broadcast after the Bengals’ win over the Bills, Cris appreciated the Bengals QB routine. “Burrow is no night owl,” he asserted.

Besides this, Brian Callahan, ex- Bengals offensive coordinator and head coach of Titans, is also already impressed by Burrow’s daily life discipline. “He’s just incredibly disciplined,” he added. “There’s a requirement, I think, being a great player, and Joe falls into that part of it, his discipline, his structure, and his routine” he further explained. Apart from this, he has also shed light on Burrow’s consciousness of his health through his daily routine for his better NFL playoff.

He also mentioned that Joe knows exactly “what he needs to get ready.” Additionally, Brian also emphasized his self-caring nature. “He knows how to take care of himself, his body, whether he has massages and acupuncture and all the other things that go to off the field to get your body ready to play,” he revealed.
Thus, QB, Burrow not only impressed NFL players, but many of his fans were astonished by his too-early bedtime approach. “Incredible what Joe Burrow did on that drive considering it’s four hours past his bedtime.” Tweeted a fan after his performance during the Bills-Bengals match last season.

Even Burrow previously stated that the more sleep he gets, the better his body feels, and it appears that this strategy is working.
Burrow isn’t the only well-known NFL player that gets sacked early. Puka Nacua, a Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, goes to bed between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. And, Nacua’s distinguished NFL career has evidenced this well. Thus, it’s no surprise to say that a well-rested and early routine helps players perform better on the field.
