It’s week 7, and the results are starting to matter. The schedules of the games are being changed now. The NFL made these rules way back in 2006, and it’s for the fans. The teams that performed better are getting prime-time shows. Those who failed to excite are being moved to other time slots. The first one is the Eagles vs Bengals game.
The week 8 showdown between Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow has been moved from a 4:25 p.m. kickoff to 1 p.m. on CBS. The official reasons aren’t out yet. However, the main reason being cited is the lesser interest of the fans. While the Eagles have a 3-2 win-loss record after 6 weeks, the Bengals have a dismal 2-4. Top CBS announcers Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be calling the game.
However, everyone is wondering who will replace the prime-time game. It’s the rookie showdown. The Bears vs Commanders will battle it out at 4:25 p.m. on CBS. Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams have taken their teams to a 4-2 win-loss record. The game will feature the announcers Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson.

This is something no one expected. However, the rookies have performed exceptionally this year. They were touted to the rivals and have certainly lived up to the expectations. In 6 games, Daniels has been ahead of Williams in both passing and rushing departments. While Williams has 130 of 199 passes with 1,317 passing yards without any touchdown, Daniels has 122 of 166 passes with 1,414 passing yards and 6 touchdowns. In the rushing game, Williams has 25 attempts in 169 yards with no touchdowns, Daniels has 63 attempts in 322 yards with 4 touchdowns.
While the debate of the better between the rookies rages on, the experienced quarterbacks are struggling.

Who is better? Eagles QB or Bengals QB
Back in May, the NFL was hyping up the week 8 matchup between the Eagles vs Bengals. They tweeted out the 2019 Peach Bowl when Burrow defeated Hurts. However, after 7 weeks, things have changed. So much so that the league doesn’t even consider them good enough to give them the prime-time show. The performance of their QBs hasn’t helped them.
Joe Burrow is returning with a surgically repaired wrist. Everyone was waiting to see his performance. He has done well for himself, but the team has failed. In 6 games, Bengals QB has 144 of 201 passes with 1,578 yards and 12 touchdowns. In the rushing game, he has 18 attempts for 94 yards with 1 touchdown.

The Eagles have performed considerably better. However, Jalen Hurts hasn’t done good according to his expectations. In 5 games, he has 106 of 157 passes with 1,194 yards and 6 touchdowns. His rushing game is also okay-ish with 56 in 196 yards with 2 touchdowns.
What do you think? Will Burrow be able to repeat the 2019 success or the Eagles will turn the page on the Bengals? The fans are pumped. There is one certain thing. If the Bengals still want a shot at the Super Bowl, they will have to win a few games.
