Who is Sarah Sherman (Taylor)?

Just like her husband, Sarah Taylor (previously Sherman) also has athletic roots. Born to parents, Mike Sherman, ex-NFL head coach, and Karen Sherman, she never played football. But she has a great understanding of football because of her dad,  who served as a head coach for the Green Bay Packers and Texas A&M.

Because of being the daughter of a football coach, Sarah’s early life was never easy.  She had to relocate nearly 13 times to different places until she turned 18. Impressively, she learned to adapt and adjust to new surroundings and people.

Amidst all this, Sarah has had her own interest in the journalism field. As per her social media profile, she received her graduation degree in Journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2005. After developing an interest in marketing and journalism, she pursued a master’s degree at the University of Nebraska in 2007. While there, she met her future husband, Zac Taylor.

Sarah Sherman Taylor, whose dad and husband both coached in the NFL, has football running through her veins. She even helped out with recruiting at Texas A&M while her dad was the coach there. And just like her, Zac also worked with Sarah’s dad. He was a graduate assistant at Texas A&M from 2008 to 2011. And, later, he served as an assistant quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins while Mike was working as an offensive coordinator.

Earlier, during an interview, Mrs. Sarah expressed her gratefulness to her dad as he allowed Zac to work with him at Texas A&M. “It was a great opportunity for my husband at the time that he couldn’t pass up and I am thankful to my dad for a allowing him to work there because he has a strict rule about hiring family and it’s for a reason, it doesn’t always work out! Luckily, they did work very well together,” she stated.

Thus, Zac Taylor and Sarah’s bond became stronger with each passing day, since they first met.

How did Sarah Sherman and Zac Taylor meet?

The NFL’s most loving couple had one of the best college romances. Allegedly, both are Nebraska University alumni. In 2006, the love between the duo blossomed when Sarah was studying for her master’s degree in marketing. At that time, she was also a graduate assistant for the sports information department while Zac was the star quarterback at Nebraska.  During an interview, Zac spilled the beans over his first meeting with  Sarah.

“I remember the first time I saw her. We were practicing on our soccer field at Nebraska. When practice ended, there was a girl in a yellow dress.” Clearly, Zac was not able to take his eyes off her, as she took his breath away. But it was not just her beauty. He continues, “She looked so much more mature, I figured she was probably 30 years old. I’m only 22. As the year went by, I learned we were the same age. I would run into her more often and I realized maybe I had a chance.”

Seemingly, not only, Taylor, who had fallen in love with her, but Sarah too stalked him. Earlier, Mrs. Taylor also revealed the impressive beginning of their relationship. “From the second I met him, I just admired he was the last person at a fan day one time. He was the starting quarterback, but he signed every kid’s thing. I kind of just stalked him until he asked me out. Luckily he did,” she remarked.

After dating for years, they two decided to get married in Houston in 2008. They both exchanged their forever vows with a football theme. Since then, they have been supporting each other at every step of the way.

Clearly, Sarah Sherman has a great impact on Zac Taylor’s personal and professional life. She flawlessly adjusted herself in different countries while her NFL head coach hubby was progressing in his football coaching profession. Not only that, she successfully balances their family life, raising their four children  Brooks, Luke, Emma Claire, and Milly.
