Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride lit up the 2024-25 season by claiming 111 catches, the Franchise-best for a tight end. His overall performance eventually saw him make it to the Pro Bowl team in 2024. Since entering the NFL scene, Trey has been in the news one way or the other, whether it be for being the John Mackey Award or being raised by 2 mothers in a same-sex marriage.

As far as his upbringing is concerned, Trey’s foundational blocks have been guided by women. He even acknowledges how important his mothers were in him achieving his NFL dream. And it doesn’t end with his moms. For Trey, there is one more special lady who has been keeping him company for a while.

Who is Trey McBride’s girlfriend?

Trey McBride is seeing Lauren Ranson, a fellow graduate from Colorado State University (CSU). She was born in 2001 and is herself a sports enthusiast, being associated with volleyball, basketball, golf, and track and field sports. In fact, she hails from a family who have quite a deep sports connection. Her grandfather, Jim Ranson, was a legendary basketball coach out of Pueblo.

Her father is also a basketball coach at Central High School, the institution where she studied. And Lauren’s brother, Mike Ranson, too is in the sports industry, in the role of Assistant Coach/Player Development for the Morehead State University program. She has played some basketball during her high school tenure, and one of her favorite sporting moments is playing on her grandfather’s court: “It’s been an honor to play on Jim Ranson court and to be a part of such a great tradition.”

But away from sports, Lauren’s specialization at CSU was in Apparel Merchandising and Design. She also did a course in Product Development during her graduation which she completed in 2022. This may be one Ranson who doesn’t go the sports route. But who knows? Maybe she uses her graduation expertise for a sports brand like Nike or Adidas. It’s up to her.

As far as hobbies go, Lauren loves dogs and loves hanging out with her besties, that is when she is not sightseeing and vacationing with her boyfriend.

When did Trey get into a relationship with Lauren?

Although they didn’t make an official announcement per se, Trey and Lauren were officially seen acknowledging their relationship from around Nov 2019. Lauren wished her boyfriend happy birthday with a cute, sarcastic caption, “happy birthday lil guy 🥵❤️”.  Of the two, Lauren clearly seems to be the quirkier one. They must have met when they were both at CSU, and the college lovebirds have been going strong since.

Whether it be at the stadium during the game or at Disneyland during a bye week, Trey and Lauren have been extremely cute together, being their happiest and goofy selves. She also is likely a foodie, as she is more often than not seen munching something, from hot dogs to burgers. Well, maybe she is even taking stuff off Trey’s plate to make sure the Arizona Cardinals tight end stays right on top of his game.
