Football and soccer worlds collided to give TJ Watt a shot at love. Things have been moving at the speed of light ever since Watt got married to Dani Rhodes (Watt now) in July 2022. The couple even has a baby on the way! What else do we know about Dani Watt? Well, she’s not just your typical NFL WAG.

Dani, a Waukesha, Wisconsin-born met TJ Watt during her time at the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she found “special enough to ever change” her last name six years later. Dani has a degree in life sciences communication from the University of Wisconsin. However, it looks like she loved soccer enough to be named Big 10 Forward of the Year and All America Second Team honor in 2019.

She’s the middle child of her family who got to live her dream of playing with NWSL’s Chicago Red Stars in 2020 and signed a deal with Thróttur Reykjavík, a professional team in Iceland the next year.

Dani is very active on Instagram, with over 70k followers and 500 posts. Since she stopped playing soccer, she’s been ever active in her support for her husband and is often caught at the Steelers games. But going to the Steelers games might take a backseat for a while now for her as she is pregnant with their first child. The Watt’s recently made the big announcement on Instagram in a post titled, “February 2025.”

The picture shows the couple twinning in white tees and blue denim as they show off the ultrasound images of Dani’s womb. The whole Steelers squad assembled to celebrate the occasion. The Super Bowl-winning QB Russell Wilson found his way into the comment section of the photo as he congratulated them by commenting, “Wow! Yessss sirrr.”

Juju Smith-Schuster, Nick Herbig, Pat Freiermuthm, Patrick Queen, Joey Porter Jr, and even Maxx Crosby were among a few who rushed to congratulate the Watt family on their blessing. The time when TJ and Dani Watt flew to Europe!

The couple took to the serene and beautiful country of Austria and recently uploaded the photos on the Instagram handle. The carousel of photos titled, “Almost 3 months late but a trip that is still so deserving of a photo dump,” shows their journey to the land of the Alps. They stayed in a huge, traditional Austrian house surrounded by pools, lakes, and every other facility you could need.

One of the photos shows her petting a horse and the interaction couldn’t look more wholesome. She’s even wearing slippers that say, “slow life.” Well, it’s good to get away from the busy city life from time to time and enjoy nature. TJ Watt showed his presence as he commented with a “heart emoji” on the slide of photos too!

It also appears that Dani is close to Mitch Trubisky’s significant other, Hillary, who also commented on the post saying, “Ready for our next trip.” Not one to miss out on a chance to visit Europe again,  an elated Danie replied to Hillary, adding, “Just say when!!!”
