More information is surfacing about Tyreek Hill’s recent arrest by the Miami-Dade Police Department. The player was “cited for reckless driving as a result of his incident outside the stadium with police” and reportedly got into a “verbal altercation” with officials on Sunday morning 0utside the Hard Rock Stadium. However, body cam footage of the incident surfaced, and it’s not looking good for Danny Torres, the officer who allegedly harassed the Miami Dolphins WR .
A little bit of a background check shows Torres is a pretty interesting character on his own. The incident has made him an antagonist and his personal life is an enigma for people invested in this news. And we have some interesting information to tell you…

Torres is reportedly a police veteran with 27 years of experience. But his time being a law enforcement official isn’t nearly as rousing as the fact that he’s also a part of an international motorcycle club. Sounds scary? Well, it’s not what you think it is. The club is called Gunfighters, and it has a website too. It is basically a haven for active and retired law enforcement personnel.
According to the site, Gunfighters is “a national and International law enforcement motorcycle club. Our membership consists of active and retired law enforcement officers who are in good standing with their respective agencies and/or have retired honorably.” The website described the club with even more details.

“We abide by the laws set forth by the United States Constitution and the laws of our international chapters in which we reside,” the description continues. “We are not 1%ers, nor are we a territorial organization. We wear our bottom rockers to signify the State/Country we call home.”
Update: Brand new information shows the official has been tangled in controversy since the start of his career. Documents accessed by NBC showed he was suspended six times, amounting to around 50 days between 2014 and 2019. Currently placed on administrative duties, the officer received written reprimands on four occasions between March 1999 and September 2020. There were also cases of complaints—eight of which still remain, including instances of “improper use of force and body camera”.
On a separate note, Torres is also a disc jockey who goes by the name of DJ DNO and has reportedly worked as a DJ for the MDPD. While a motorcycle club and a DJ gig sounds great, some tragic parts of his life need to be given attention. In November 2020, Torres was involved in a traffic incident that put him in a coma. His GoFundMe page raised $25,000 and posts from SFBA, helping him get through the tough times.
Now that we know about Torres’ journey, it’s imperative to know the recent developments in the case.
Tyreek Hill wants Danny Torres gone!
On the day of the assault, Torres was the one who pulled Hill out of his car and planted him on the ground face down. After the alleged harassment took place, Hill was fined for over careless driving and a seatbelt violation and fined $179 and $129, respectively. But paying for tickets is not the problem. The problem is the officer reportedly mishandling Hill, and at one point, even kicking him.
After Hill stated he was “embarrassed” and “shell shocked” about the incident, his attorney Julius Collins mentioned he wants to make an example out of Torres and wants him to be terminated. “We are of the opinion that the officer’s use of force was excessive, escalating, and reckless,” the lawyer said in a statement. “We are demanding that the officer be terminated effective immediately.”

The body cam footage also shows the officer cuffing Calais Campbell. When the officer in question put the Dolphins receiver on the ground, he wrapped his hands around Hill’s neck, which, if anything, made the situation even worse.
Tyreek Hill respects the police and the fine work they do, but in this case, he shares the same sentiments as his lawyer and wants Danny Torres gone. “Gone. Gone. Gone. He gotta go, man,” Hill said Wednesday in a news conference. The WR then pointed out the unfair and aggressive treatment that his teammates Jonnu Smith and Calais Campbell faced.

“In that instance right there, not only did he treat me bad, he also treated my teammates with disrespect, you know? He had some crazy words towards them, and they didn’t even do nothing. Like, what did they do to you? They were just walking on the sidewalk.”
