Get to know Gracie Uribe and her Softball career
Just like Shemar Stewart, his girlfriend, Gracie Uribe, is also involved in sports. She is a highly regarded softball player at San Diego State University. Initially, she played for Huntington Beach High School as a pitcher and outfielder. She shone bright during her high school days. Notably, Uribe clinched the Los Angeles Times Player of the Year and Orange County Pitcher of the Year honors during her Huntington days.
Not only this, but just like her boyfriend, she also played for Texas A&M University from 2021 to 2023 as a pitcher. Not only this, Gracie also served as the hitter in NCAA Division I softball at Texas. During her first season with Texas A&M in 2021, she gained a lot of attention with remarkable performances during her appearances in 27 games. Along with starting 13 games, Gracie finished the season with a 7-5 record and a 3.50 ERA. And, in 2022, during her sophomore year at Texas, notched the triumph over Minnesota at the NCAA Regionals.

And, after the 2022 season, she took around a year’s break from collegiate softball. But, during this time, she won hearts by giving key lessons to the younger players. During this time, Gracie also participated in the Golden Bay Collegiate League. After coming from the break, she joined San Diego State University (SDSU) as a graduate student in 2024. Here, she played as a two-way player for the Aztecs. She played under Coach Stacey Nuveman-Deniz, who trained her as the first high-level two-way player in her 17-year coaching tenure at SDSU. Gracie even received praise for her skills beyond softball from the coach. “She is in a place where she is valued for all that she brings to the table. Not just her softball skill set,” Nuveman-Deniz stated.
Despite earning a name in the softball field, she also has a major interest in the psychology domain. Uribe, who battled mental health issues while playing in Aggieland, is now enthusiastic about pursuing a career in behavior psychology after graduation. She is grateful for this opportunity beyond softball and sport. “My life was softball, and that was my only identity,” Uribe stated. “When softball wasn’t going great, I was in a low place. Although softball is such an important part of my life, I don’t think you can be successful at something if you are not a complete person, and I just wasn’t that.”
It indeed showcased her relentless attitude towards her life. And, of course, her relationship with Shemar Stewart also caught the attention of football fans.
