The win-at-all-costs mentality doesn’t just apply to NFL players like Quandre Diggs, but also to their partners who juggle multiple roles behind the scenes. Former Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs, that MVP – Most Valuable Partner – is undoubtedly Abby Diggs.

Their love story kicked off with a simple “Happy Birthday” tweet from Quandre to Abby back in 2013. A decade later, on March 16, 2023, they tied the knot at the picturesque Viansa Winery in Sonoma, with world-renowned violinist Dominique Hammons serenading their union. The couple even took romantic photos in a vintage car during the golden hour, cementing their fairy-tale wedding day.

Born on October 13, 1995, in Texas, Abby Evans (now Diggs) has roots as deep as a well-executed play. Growing up alongside her sister Julie, Abby’s early life was shaped by her parents, Tasha and David Keith Evans. Tragedy struck in 2015 when her father passed away from kidney disease, a pivotal moment that fueled her resilience.

Abby’s journey is a testament to her adaptability. A former softball player at Pflugerville High School (Class of 2014), she initially pursued nursing at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. However, her career path took an unexpected turn. “Growing up, I always loved doing hair,” Abby shared with Voyage Austin. “I was the one friend who would get everyone all dolled up before we would go places, but I never imagined it would be my career.”

After graduating from The Aveda Institute of Austin in 2016, Abby quickly rose through the ranks. Within a year, she became one of the highest-level stylists at Blonde Faith Salon in Austin. But her ambitions didn’t stop there. In 2022, she launched Copper + Mane Luxury Salon Suites, a venture close to her heart.

“I wanted to create a space that felt more luxurious, more intimate, and that provided upscale benefits for all tenants,” Abby explained. Her innovative approach includes offering maternity leave, a rarity in the beauty industry. “After having my daughter, I really wished I had that option like most other professions, so that is something I felt was important to offer.”

Looking ahead, Abby’s entrepreneurial spirit shows no signs of slowing down. “In the next 5-10 years, our plan is to open more locations across the Austin area to cater to beauty professionals who are seeking the luxury we provide,” she revealed to Voyage Austin.

Family is the heart of their world

While building her business empire, Abby has been the backbone of the Diggs family. The couple has welcomed three children: Ariya Marie (born July 2019), Kash Amari (May 2023), and Aubrey Michelle (April 2024). Balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship, Abby tackles challenges head-on.

Their journey as parents began with a test of their resilience. Less than a week after Ariya’s birth, Quandre had to leave for Lions training camp, highlighting the sacrifices both make for his career. Despite the challenges, Quandre’s appreciation for Abby’s role as a mother is evident. On Mother’s Day 2020, he wrote, “Happy 1st Mother’s Day Queen! Everyday is Mother’s Day for you because i want you live your best life! You are appreciated more than you know!”

Abby’s support for Quandre extends far beyond the home. When he faced a tough injury in 2022, she took to Instagram with words of encouragement: “Set backs lead to come backs. Last year was a tough one to end the season with, but God always has a plan and that’s just something we had to trust.”

Their relationship has weathered the storms of long-distance and career changes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Abby made the difficult decision to close her business and move to Seattle with their daughter. “Having to stay at home for months not working, and the unknown of the virus, I had to make the hardest choice for my career and family,” she shared, demonstrating her ability to adapt and prioritize family.

As Quandre embarks on a new chapter, signing a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Tennessee Titans, Abby stands ready to cheer him on. She’s not just an NFL wife, but a true partner in every sense. As Quandre once said, “To the one who always holds it down and always puts the family first I just want to say thank you!”
