People on Reddit took the situation as Campbell dressed in pre-Civil War-era outfits. Seeing that the people were not on her side, she apologized for her actions, saying that she was 20 and didn’t know what the outfits signified. She’s 31 now, so naturally, a lot of things have changed.

“At the time these photos were taken, I was 20. I didn’t fully understand the impact of my actions the way I do now, 12 years later. I fully apologize for the harm this may have caused for some and take full responsibility,” Puckett said in a statement.
