At the 2023 Southeast Asian Games, Schrijvers snagged 4th place in the Women’s 400m and helped her team smash a 30-year-old national record in the 4×400 meter relay. They crushed it with a 3:37.50 finish, shattering a 30-year-old record held by Filipino icons: Lydia de Vega, Elma Muros, Perla Balatucan, and Rhoda Sinoro.

“Last night, my girls and I made history for the Philippines,” Schrijvers proudly shared on her IG story. “A 30-year-old record, set by our sprint legends, was broken. Wearing the Philippine flag and running our hearts out for the country was an absolute honor.” Schrijvers and her crew helped stack up the Philippines’ medal haul, now standing at 31 golds, 57 silvers, and 74 bronzes.

And those personal records? In May 2023, Remigio’s girlfriend clocked a stunning 54.69 seconds in the 400 meters and led her relay team to a score of 1024. Talk about leaving a mark!
