“I chose Michigan State because it felt like home as soon as I got on campus on my visit.” Michigan’s Jack Carson Wentz said this when he was welcomed by the State Spartans this year. However, as he is making waves in college football, many are likening him to the Kansas City Chiefs’ backup QB, Carson Wentz. The confusion? Well, it’s all because of similar names, with many thinking they are brothers.
So, are the Wentz brothers? The answer is no! Jack Carson-Wentz is not related to Carson Wentz. They just have similar names. Jack Wentz is from Canton, West Georgia, who is currently playing as a long snapper in Michigan.
While on the other hand, former Washington QB Wentz is from North Carolina, United States. He is a younger brother of Zach Wentz, who played baseball at NDSU, and is now helping his brother Carson “manage affairs on the business, personal and recreational side of things.”

Besides them, Luke Domres is also the brother of Carson and Zach, who have studied at Arizona State University. So, you see, the new snapper in the Michigan football world, with jersey no. 83, Jack Carson Wentz, is not related to these Wentz brothers.
This clears the confusion that is swirling on the internet after Michigan won against the Florida Atlantic with 16-10. So, it happened when Wentz was shown on national television, with his jersey loudly speaking – Carson Wentz. This led many online users to comment, “WHAT IS #83 LAST NAME?” and “Michigan State has a player with the last name “Carson Wentz.”

All you need to know about Jack Carson Wentz!
Jack Carson-Wentz is a sophomore, who stands tall at 6 feet and 2.5 inches and weighs about 225 lbs. After playing high school football at Cherokee in Canton, Georgia, Wentz began his collegiate career at Division II Lenoir-Rhyne in North Carolina. In addition to that, Wentz worked hard and attended football camps, even helping high school players improve their snapping technique. All these efforts ranked him at the No. 34 in his class, where he impressed evaluators, showing great form, speed, and accuracy. But why did he choose Michigan instead of his place Georgia? Well, the answer to this is that after visiting Michigan State, Wentz felt a strong connection to the campus and coaching staff. This led him to commit to the Spartans.
And when he was selected, the LS wasted no time to share his excitement and happiness on his official X account. He wrote, “I am glad to announce I will be committing to Michigan State University! Thank you @EnnsZoneKicking for helping me through this long journey as well as @SpecialTeamsU for completely changing my snapping abilities! Let’s work @CoachBegnal, @ChadWilt, @MSU_Football.
