Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson made a record in 2022 for zero sacks in 26 consecutive games. That same year, the team reached the Super Bowl but lost. Are you curious about the reason behind OT’s wonderful performance? It’s his girlfriend, Kelsey Kay Holmer. During the offseason in June 2022, Johnson made their relationship public. Holmer posted a photo of both enjoying a boat ride in a lake. Here is everything about his girlfriend.

An Ohio native, she was a cheerleader at the basketball games during high school. When Holmer was studying at Ohio University, one of her hobbies was playing football. OT’s girlfriend also holds a master’s degree. The 28-year-old also likes animals as the couple has a Sheepadoodle named Cabo. During her 2017 Thailand trip, she posted many photos of snorkeling in the ocean and enjoying an elephant ride. That was only one side!

Johnson and Holmer share a mutual love for country music and fishing. Whenever they get to spend time together, both like to be outdoors. In March of this off-season, the couple went on a fun trip to Breckenridge, Colorado. During their mountain getaway, they enjoyed several activities, including roaming in a snowmobile. Johnson and Holmer also like to spend time in each other’s company at home.

On Valentine’s Eve in 2023, the couple sat down in their garden with a cake, a rose, and a bowl full of chocolates. She posted a video on Instagram. So sweet! She aptly captured her emotion with the caption, “My Valentine.” Their 2-year relationship is still going strong. On Holmer’s birthday (June 12), he revealed her pet name, ‘Kiki.‘

She is his rock and accompanies him to NFL games. Before meeting her, the OT was facing personal challenges on many fronts. Holmer’s love and care have helped him to overcome that.

In 2017, Eagles OT suffered an ankle injury that didn’t completely heal for 3 years. He was married to Chelsea Johnson from 2013 to 2019 and has 3 children with her. The injury and divorce took a heavy toll on him. In 2021, he took 3 games off because of depression. Tired of feeling low, the OT contemplated retirement but didn’t take a step in that direction. The next year, his life changed.

His lady luck arrived! She stood by him and encouraged him to attend mental health counseling. Both of them go to such sessions together. Holmer can sense when he feels tense and does her best to cheer him up. It can be seen on her Instagram, as she often posts photos from the stadiums. To build up his self-belief, she inspires him to spread awareness about mental health in the community. Johnson’s girlfriend also takes part in charity programs like the Eagles Autism Foundation.

With such a lovely lady by his side, he is living a different life altogether. And seeing them together, we get reminded of this old but gold line, “Behind every great man is a strong woman.”
