Different professions but aligned with soul! This is because they are best friends, they understand each other well, and they are the foodie couple of the NFL. Although for Jon Runyan Jr. and his wife, Victoria Schultz, every day has been special since they met, this year was extra special for the two as they got registered as Mr. & Mrs. Runyan!

The New York Giants guard Jon Runyan Jr. met his wife during the COVID-19 pandemic in Philadelphia. At that time, the athlete was “home training for the league, whereas Schultz was attending graduate school for speech-language pathology.” And to register the beginning of their love story, restaurant Harper’s Garden, Philadelphia, became the venue of the couple’s first-ever date with one another.

Talking about her studies, Schultz first attended “Loyola University Maryland for a Bachelor’s Degree in speech-language pathology.” And then after that, she moved to Temple University for her graduation in the same subject. Taking up her subject as her career, Runyan Jr.’s partner, by profession, is “a Spanish-English speech-language pathologist.”

Besides working, Jon Runyan Jr.’s wife, Victoria Schultz, is also his biggest supporter in his life. She accompanies him in almost every event as well as attends New York Giants guard’s games. In addition to that, the depth of their love story can be easily seen when Schultz admitted that they “are best friends, and this unity (the marriage) means continuing that friendship and partnership forever.”

At the start of their journey when Jon Runyan Jr. was drafted to the Packers in 2020, the couple moved to Green Bay to stay together. But now they are back and residing on the East Coast, as the athlete joined the Giants this year. Taking their relationship to another level, Jon Runyan Jr. and his wife, Victoria Schultz, got engaged in 2023 after three years of their dating phase. Now, the couple has been married happily ever since!

Jon Runyan Jr. and his wife Victoria Schultz’s wedding was nothing short of magical. The couple tied the knot “at the Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey, on July 8.” The theme of their wedding was an Old Hollywood essence, including flowers, a castle-like estate, and a long aisle for Schultz to walk on. Surrounded by 200 friends, family members, and many out-of-the-town guests, the couple made sure to properly host and arrange everything for them.

They first “kicked off their wedding weekend with a welcome party at Harper’s Garden.” Yes! The same place where they had their first date. Not only that! In order to make it more special, Jon Runyan Jr. and his wife Victoria Schultz honored this party with the name “French 75,” to make a tribute to their French bulldog Pluto. This celebration continued the next day with “a scenic cruise down the Delaware river, followed by an intimate rehearsal dinner.”

Then, the day everyone, especially the love birds had been eagerly waiting for, finally arrived. During their day wedding, Victoria Schultz walked down the aisle with her bridesmaids, shading herself from the bright sun. She looked radiant in her white cap-sleeved, ruched gown (that she bought outside of Philadelphia), which perfectly matched with Jon’s classic black tuxedo.

And guess what? This wasn’t just a simple wedding. It was a grand and dreamy ceremony that was officiated by Schultz’s uncle. Besides this, the personal and special touch added to the day was when the live painter captured their first kiss. According to Jon Runyan Jr.’s wife, “The best part was that guests could watch [the painter’s] progress off to the side through the night as he landed on the finished product.”

With this, you could almost feel the emotion in the air, especially when they exchanged vows under a lush garden setting with a grand fountain as their backdrop. Besides that, the couple’s reception party was just as lively. From a surprise mariachi band, honoring Jon’s Mexican heritage, to him singing a song in Spanish to his new bride, every detail made it unforgettable. And as the couple is foodie, their “cocktail hour featured more than 25 different foods for passed hors d’oeuvres and stations, followed by a plated dinner with wine pairings.”

Additionally, during their wedding, Jon Runyan Jr. and his wife Victoria Schultz “chose a three-tier vanilla cake with buttercream and raspberry filling from Calandra’s Bakery, and also served a wide selection of desserts.” Even during this cake-cutting event, Runyan Jr.’s wife surprised him “with a mariachi band performance, a longstanding tradition from his family’s Mexican heritage.”

That night was beautiful and satisfying for the couple who admitted, “Although we wrote our vows separately, many of the vows we took to each other were similar showing our commitment to our relationship….and everyone had a blast, and we couldn’t be happier having spent that time with everyone, taking it all in.”
