The fourth-round pick from Boise though hasn’t made a lot of impact on the team, but he’s been healthy and participated in all games throughout his Washington Commanders tenure. Though his professional life lacks highlights, his personal life surely provides him with much-needed relaxation and happiness.

The Commanders’ TE is a happily married man with his wife Kegan Bates, who he also has a daughter with. Just like the tight end, his wife also went to Boise State University and has a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies. Not a lot of information is available about the TE’s wife, but some sources point out that the couple has been happily married since 2021 and held a private ceremony. About 7 months ago or so was the last month of her baby bump, but there’s not much information about when exactly the little girl was born. Some sources also say that she’s held the position of shift lead at Black Rock Coffee Bar in the Boise Metropolitan Area, but she doesn’t seem to have a LinkedIn account.

The mother of one proactively visits Washington Commanders’ games and is a fan of traveling, and hiking in nature and looks like an outdoorsy person through and through. Scrolling through her Instagram, it became evident that she had known John since their school days.

Per an Instagram post from TE’s wife, it was revealed that his daughter was born on 6 November 2023 and the family of course cherishes her very much. In November last year, Kegan posted a photo of her newborn baby, and the caption would relate to every mother’s feelings about their newborn baby.

“Our lives just got a heck of a lot sweeter 🤍 we got to welcome our sweet girl on the evening of her daddys birthday and we feel beyond blessed to be her parents,” wrote Kegan on the post as the photo showed her newborn daughter sleeping, comfortably wrapped in a blanket and wearing a bow on her tiny head.

The names of her daughter and the family dogs haven’t really been disclosed. It seems like their personal lives are only open for near and dear ones, the way they should be.
