Jermaine Burton is an NFL breakout star now making waves as the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. Born on June 28, 2001, in sunny Calabasas, California, Burton began his college football career at the University of Georgia before shifting gears and going to Alabama. Spoiler alert: He crushed it.

Burton was a sight to behold with 1,599 yards and 13 touchdowns in the bag, even to NFL scouts. He was speed and accurate enough that he was picked by the Bengals in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Not bad for a guy who also ran a 4.45-second 40 at the NFL Combine. Speedy, much? So who’s his inspiration for it all?

Who are Burton’s parents and girlfriend?

Burton owes much of his grit and determination to his mom, Sheri Burton. He’s got a tight-knit family, including his sisters, Sienna Borho and Marilyn Burton, and his beloved grandmother. In an interview, Burton’s sister, Sienna Borho, mentioned, “I can tell when he’s in the zone because he will call me every single day. He’ll tell me that he had a great practice or that he felt good.” It’s a beautiful bond that they share.

On his NFL journey, Burton summed it up best: “I just want to play football and want to do this for my family.”

Yet beyond the pitch, Burton’s career has been a mix of headlines and… um, Google searches. Recently, he made headlines for having dated a 19-year-old girl, (whose identity remains a mystery) generating chatter on social media. Fame has its harrowing moments. But Burton’s focus? Football and family (and maybe not Twitter). While he’s forming X’s, he’s also been minting quite a bit.

Burton’s net worth: A promising future ahead

Burton’s financial future is promising, thanks to his NFL contract and NIL endorsements during college. His NIL value was estimated at $189,000 in 2024, with deals including Six Star Pro Nutrition and Life+STYLE by Laura, which highlighted his focus on health and fashion and being the record-making machine.

And then there’s that NFL deal. Burton made a sweet deal with the Bengals for a four-year, $5.8 million deal with a $1,053,380 signing bonus. He’ll get more than a million bucks in base salary in 2025. A good start for someone new. While Burton’s net worth is not known at the moment, he is cashing in big with his salary as of now.

But Burton is not just any other player on the field, he’s a real star on the horizon. A 2021 CFP National Champion, he’s no stranger to showing up when the lights go out. From sparkle at the Peach Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, or Rose Bowl, Burton has shown he’s got it when the stakes are so high. Opposing defenses? They have gotten it very quickly: He’s also a nightmare to shoot over.
