Older siblings can be a big inspiration, and younger ones usually look up to them. Just like that, Jameis Winston‘s little brother looked up to him and started following the same path. Jonah Winston, or King Jonah P as Jameis likes to call him, has been making some noise lately with his football skills. Little Winston was just seven years old when his older brother made his NFL debut with the Bucs. He’s got the athletic genes, having played both baseball and football from a young age.
Now, Jonah’s playing for his school’s football team, the Hoover Bucs, and impressing everyone with his skills. Well, of course, he will be impressive, he is getting his training from Jameis Winston, after all.

Who is Jonah Winston?
Born to Loretta and Antonor, Jonah is the only sibling of Browns QB Jameis Winston. His family calls him “Young Jeter,” as he’s been into sports since he was little. The 17-year-old is now part of the Hoover High School football team. Back in October, he showed everyone he’s Jameis Winston’s little brother by racking up 132 yards in a game. ‘Young Jeter’ also scored the winning touchdown for his team. Ever since then, everyone’s been hyping him up. And what better place than social media to flex your milestones? So, Jonah took the chance to share the same on his Instagram handle.

Now, after conquering his high school football career, the time has come for Jonah to take the next step and pick a university. He’s got a few options to pick from, all thanks to his athletic skills. Schools like Alabama, Texas A&M, and Mississippi are ready to welcome future athletes making an offer for the class of 2026. Jameis’s alma mater Florida State University has also made an offer to Jonah. His elder brother was in the class of 2014 here. Talk about full circle, almost 10 years later, Jonah is getting an offer from the same university.
Jonah still has enough time to decide which college he will go to. We all know that if he chooses Florida State University, there will be immense pressure to match his brother’s performance. And if you must know, please note that Jameis Winston also has the Heisman Trophy to his name.
Is Jonah Winston following in his brother’s footsteps?
You know how it goes when you’ve got a successful older sibling—you end up following in their footsteps, right? Jonah knows that feeling all too well. Growing up, he tried basketball, baseball, and football but eventually chose football. Even though Jameis went to Hueytown High in Alabama and Jonah was at Hoover, it looks like fate may bring him to the same university as his big brother, who now plays for the Browns.
2015 was the year when the Bucs came knocking at Winston’s college dorm. Jameis has been through quite a journey. After playing four seasons with the Buccaneers, he moved to the Saints in 2020 and stayed until 2023. And then in 2024, he joined the Browns. With his big brother Jameis as a mentor, Jonah’s got a solid advantage, if he puts in the work, he’s set to make waves. The QB’s fans are curious to know which college he’ll pick and how his football career will unfold.
Anyway, wishing Jonah all the best on his football journey! Hopefully, he’ll make a name for himself and not just be known as Jameis Winston’s little brother. He’s got a big road ahead, but with hard work, who knows? He could totally create his own legacy in the game.
