After an underwhelming season with the Washington Commanders, the veteran QB Jacoby Brissett is set to be the starting starter for the New England Patriots. He reunited with the team that drafted him 7 seasons ago and all eyes are on the post-Bill Belichick Patriots. He changed multiple teams throughout his 8-season tenure in the league, but there’s something that stayed with him throughout, and it’s his significant other, Sloan Young.

But before we talk about Young, it’s necessary to take a look at Brissett’s college career. He played for Florida Gators for two years (2011-2012 seasons), took a break, and went on to play for NC State. In the gap he took from playing football, he met Sloan. Brissett transferred to NC State and started dating her.

Who is Sloan Young?

Young is a North Carolina native and was born in Greensboro. She went to Walter Pines Page High School and got admission to the University of North Carolina, where she graduated with an Interpersonal Communications degree. Since 2012, her life has revolved around faith and serving the community as she worked with various non-profit organizations, one based in Raleigh, NC, and another named CryOut! in Seattle.

Brissett keeps his personal life private so there’s not much information about their relationship, however, Sloan Young was there with the QB in every stage of his professional career. She was there for him during his time at NC State, saw him get drafted into the NFL, witnessing his topsy-turvy professional career. Brissett often calls his girlfriend when he needs to hear some motivating words. In 2016, Brissett tweeted out, “Daily inspiration @XoxSloan!”

But things changed as time progressed and upon doing some due diligence, we found out that the couple might not be together anymore.

Is the couple still dating each other?

Some sources suggest now that Brissett and Sloan Young don’t follow and sadly according to rumors, the couple has split up. Per some sources, Sloan used to have a blog that she abandoned back in 2015, however, there’s still one particular quote that’s survived.

“God also uses my boyfriend to show me so clearly His grace and love in the man that he is and how he pursues me, protects me, and forgives me like nobody ever has,” Young reportedly wrote in her blog back in 2015. Her blog “Sincerely Sloan,” and her X account, “XoxSloan,” have ceased to exist on the internet.

A quick internet search would reveal that she is working as a realtor/broker in North Carolina, according to her LinkedIn profile. While her Instagram account is private, her professional account is full of real estate that she oversees. Also, Jacboy’s Instagram profile also doesn’t have any pictures of the couple together, hence it might not be too crazy to assume that they’ve broken up, although it’s not clear when that happened, it’s a speculation.

While Brissett has come far in life and reunited with the Patriots seven seasons later, he’ll be the starting QB and will open the season against Joe Burrow’s Bengals very soon.
