Amidst new reports, WR Kadarius Toney will be missing out on the Super Bowl opportunity. The former New York Giants WR was not on the last injury report released by the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he is reported to be out of the big game. Who will be his replacement?
The 25-year-old WR joined the Chiefs midway through the 2022 season. He has been playing bit-part roles for the squad ever since. But his absence will be felt in the momentous game in Las Vegas. How will the Chiefs be able to bolster their positions?

For weeks now, there have been conflicting reports regarding Toney’s status. The wide receiver last played against the New England Patriots in the Week 15 matchup. He missed the rest of the regular season due to hip and ankle injuries.

However, after the AFC Championship victory, the WR announced that he was no longer injured. That provided hope that he could make it on the field against the San Francisco 49ers.
“He’s been working through some things and he’ll be back out there”, said head coach Andy Reid after the fiasco. But recently, HC Reids said. “we’ll see”, to whether Toney will be a Super Bowl participant. So, who will be the one to take his place in the biggest sporting event of the year?
A moment to shine
The Chiefs have had slim pickings at the WR position all season long. And rookie Rashee Rice has been one of the better ones, along with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman. However, most of the heavy lifting in receiving areas is done by someone who doesn’t even play in that position.

Tight end Travis Kelce has been the best catcher on the squad. Registering 93 in the regular season and then 23 catches received in the postseason, by far the most on the roster. Since Toney has been absent during the most successful run of the Chiefs’ season. It can be assumed that Kelce will be fulfilling his responsibilities!
