NFL insiders thrive on brewing the hottest scoops, but Ian Rapoport recently found himself in a different kind of Starbucks clash—one with fellow reporter Jordan Schultz (son of former Starbucks CEO Howard) over conflicting reports on Tom Brady‘s meeting with Matthew Stafford. Ironically, if anyone knows how to handle chaos at a Starbucks, it’s Rapoport’s wife, Leah—an ex-Starbucks manager who once juggled lattes and ledgers before becoming the rock behind one of the NFL’s top insiders.
The wife of NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Leah holds the leash of the family, often guiding and supporting her husband. Crossing paths with him back in 2006, she has played a key role in helping him solidify his career.

Who is Leah?
Leah is not just an “NFL wife.” Married to the NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, she is a Mississippi State graduate, with a degree in banking and finance. Leah initially began her professional career in banking, when she joined Regions Bank in 2007. And, with a drill to excel, she quickly transitioned from management associate to an assistant branch manager. Eventually, occupying the post of branch manager she left it in October 2009 as she found her calling elsewhere.
In 2010, Leah made a transition as a Starbucks store manager. And, for the next nine years, she switched locations, bringing her expertise to Dallas, Massachusetts, and New York. Eventually, in June 2019, she quit her role in Starbucks, to focus on her family. On her IG profile, Leah describes herself as a “Mississippi native living in New York. Wife of @rapsheet.” She frequently offers glimpses of her family life on her Twitter handle.
Leah plays a key role in the relationship, with her parenting duties, finances, and taking care of the household. Nonetheless, she ensures that they spend time together. Moreover, she keenly watches Ian on TV, closely following his rivalry with Adam Schefter.
The loving bond between Ian Rapoport and Leah
Ian and Leah met in 2006 at The Grill, a sports bar in Starkville, Mississippi. At that time, while Leah was a student at MSU, Ian was covering the university’s football for the Jackson Clarion-Ledger. And, it sparked an immediate connection. Often, with her deep knowledge of things, Leah has helped Ian develop a better contextual understanding of various situations.
