There’s another high school love story in the Kansas City Chiefs’ team other than quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes. The Red Army’s linebacker, Drue Tranquill, has a similar kind of love story.

The linebacker is married to his high school sweetheart, Jackie Tranquill. Let’s dig further to know more about her and their lovely romance.

She said yes at a lighthouse!

The 28-year-old linebacker, Drue Tranquill, has been playing football since high school, where he met his wife, Jackie. They have been together since junior year at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jackie recalled in an interview with Wedding Day that they bonded quickly because both were originally from Tennessee.

The couple remained together in college, and even during their time abroad, where Drue proposed to Jackie in Iceland at a beautiful lighthouse by the ocean, catching her by surprise. Both Drue and Jackie are Christian and got married on July 14, 2018, in a church in their hometown.

Drue shared their wedding photos on Instagram, expressing his deep love and joy in a heartfelt caption about his bride. He wrote, “Watching my bride walk down the aisle was the most precious moment of my entire life….Thank you for lighting up my world Mrs. Tranquill, life is so much fun with you!!!” On the other hand, Jackie planned their wedding with a simple, clean, and elegant Southern style. She emphasized the importance of her faith by choosing to have the ceremony in a church, which she described as a wonderful experience.

Jackie studied dietetics at Purdue University, and professionally, is a health and wellness educator at Saint Joseph Health System in Indiana. She previously interned at King’s College Hospital NHS and in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Besides honing her skills, and working as an educator, Jackie supports her husband in his games, cheering for him from the stands. The couple enjoy each other’s company, alongside their three cute children.

Who are Drue Tranquill’s children?

Drue and Jackie Tranquill have three children in total: one son, and two daughters. According to the reports, “Their first child, son Elijah James Tranquill, was born on May 19, 2019.” Daughters Anna Grace Tranquil and Mackenzie Joy Tranquill were born on April 26, 2021, and November 17, 2022, respectively. All three children come along with their mother Jackie to support father Drue in his football games.

The couple also often shares their children’s photos on social media, which are loved by the fans. Talking about them, Drue in his 2022 interview once said, “Seeing yourself in your kids and the way that expresses itself on a day-to-day basis. It’s just so cool seeing your kids interact with each other, love each other. Just getting to see them grow up is special.”
