David Montgomery has strong off-field backing! The well-known NFL RB who is currently making waves for signing a 2-year, $18.5 million contract extension deal with Detroit, has the strong support of his girlfriend Tatum Causey. Previously, the couple was in the news as their pitbull, Lola had allegedly escaped and created a ruckus.

But the way they both handled the situation impressed many of their fans. As a supportive partner, Tatum and David have stood beside each other throughout. Thus, the fans are equally invested in knowing about the Detroit Lions RB’s girlfriend.

Who is Tatum Causey?

David Montgomery’s partner Tatum Causey is a pet lover. However, there is very limited information available about her. Apparently, she prefers to stay away from the limelight as she keeps her Instagram account private. She attended the Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa- the same university that her RB partner attended. Thus, the couple probably might have started dating since their college days.

However, the couple has not talked much about their relationship. But Causey‘s association with Lions RB David was highlighted earlier during a dog-biting incident at their Michigan residence. Around 16 months ago, the ex-Chicago Bears player’s girlfriend experienced legal penalties. Allegedly, on June 4, 2023, the couple’s pet escaped and assaulted a smaller dog on the sidewalk.

Why was David Montgomery’s girlfriend sued?

After the dog biting incident, Tatum revealed that when she was in the “backyard”, she noticed that Lola had succeeded in getting out. “I go inside, literally opened the door and I said, ‘Anybody see Lola?’” she claimed.

And, the situation seemingly got worse. Victim dog owners described their terrifying ordeal. They claimed that Montgomery’s dog severely attacked their dog’s leg and refused to let go, resulting in significant damage. Additionally, victim owners also claimed that they had incurred bitten wounds and abrasions during violent attacks.

Despite the charges, court records show that she claimed not guilty during a hearing in late June 2023. This biting incident took place soon after NFL RB and his girlfriend relocated to his new house in Michigan.

However, due to her locked Instagram handle, the post is not visible now. But, a month after the horrific incident in July 2023, Causey’s heartfelt post for her dog went viral over the internet. Taking to her IG handle, Causey paid a touchy homage to her pet Lola. Her post claimed Lola’s passing. “So many quiet days just filled with your unconditional love. You are and always will be the best. My soul dog, I love you forever and ever my Lola Bear,”, Causey mentioned in her post. It showcased her deep affection and grief over the passing of Lola, supporting each other through this ordeal.

Reportedly, they both have been embracing parenthood. On January 13, 2023, Causey became the mother of David’s first baby. However, the couple has not officially announced the news yet. It seems that they both intend to keep a low profile about their relationship. Neither David nor Tatum publicly disclosed details regarding their love story.
