David Andrews is dominating the fields with the New England Patriots. And, despite challenges, he is getting stronger with the off-field backing of his wife, Mackenzie Andrews. Being signed as a rookie free agent on May 8, 2015, he solidly adds to the team’s offensive line. Playing as a starting center now, Andrews owes a large part of his success to his better half, who has always been by his side.

Who is Mackenzie Andrews?

David Andrews’ wife, Mackenzie Andrews, neé Dempsey, loves to devote her time to her family. And, she shares a deep passion for cheerleading. At the age of two, she started cheerleading, becoming an all-star cheerleader from fifth grade. She even made it to the University of Georgia cheerleading squad in 2011, fulfilling her dreams. Besides that, she also completed her graduation in May 2015 in Health Promotion, the essence of which she carries to this day by being involved in community service.

Not only this, she also was an intern at East Georgia Cancer Coalition while in college wherein she took up the role of a certified nursing assistant. After college, she switched to become a management trainee at Parallon in Rome, Georgia. Later, in 2016, she joined David in the Boston area. She took a role at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge.

It was here at UGA that David and Mackenzie crossed paths. Talking about it, she happily remarked, “We started dating and David swept me off my feet and it keeps getting better.” In a heart-melting move, David proposed to Mackenzie in October 2015 on the 50-yard line of Sanford Stadium. Overwhelmed at the moment, the couple celebrated at a bar in Athens, Georgia where they had kissed first back in 2013.

With a beautiful follow-up, the couple sealed their bond with a wedding in April 2017 in Dalton, Georgia. Later, they enjoyed a brief honeymoon in Napa, California, followed by an exotic trip to Aruba which they consider as the ‘real’ honeymoon. Mackenzie’s support for David also extends to his career. When David was once considering quitting after a tough season, his wife provided him with the needed emotional support.

Even when the Patriots won the AFC Championship, she took to show her excitement on her IG page, “3 Super Bowls in 3 years… I’m just so dang proud of you.” Not only this, both David and Mackenzie take part in their community in Georgia; every now and then, they also enjoy local dining while exploring the hidden gems in the New England area. Plus, both share a deep love for barbeque.

The Andrews couple embraces parenthood

With the birth of their first son, James Ford Andrews back in August 2021, the couple unlocked the next chapter in their lives. David wrote, “I love watching her become a mother,” talking about his deep appreciation for her. He further wrote, “Words don’t really do it justice what the last couple of days have been like. But I do know this we are so blessed. I also know that my wife is as tough as nails. James Ford welcome to earth. Love ya son Go Dawgs.” And, it was Mackenzie who had come up with the name.

In July this year, Mackenzie and David welcomed their second child, “Worth Wesley Andrews” announcing it on Instagram. In September once again, she shared some lovely snaps of the family yet again, expressing gratitude towards her family. Mackenzie wrote, “Two months of having two kids and it’s still surreal.” Appreciating her husband time and again through her IG page, she also wrote, “I got a good, good man.”
