She took a jab at the Jets for not believing in Cooper’s abilities as a QB. Talk about having his back! Rush made his debut in 2017 with the Dallas Cowboys against the 49ers. And since before that, he’s had one big cheerleader throughout.

Cooper met Lauryn after graduating from the University of Michigan. Although Lauryn was also at Michigan, the two never met during their time in college. 

Is Cooper Rush married?

Lauryn Marchert, a domestic engineer, has been the strongest pillar of strength for Cooper throughout his entire career. The couple met after graduating from the University of Michigan back in 2017. After a couple of interactions, they both clicked. It may have taken time, but it was almost love at first sight. After popping the big question in 2019, the Cowboys QB2 tied the knot with Lauryn in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Posting the pictures from her big day, the QB’s sweetheart captioned, “Mr & Mrs Cooper Rush ❤️⛪️ 6.20.2020”

The same year, Cooper hit a rough patch in his career after the Giants claimed him off waivers and then dropped him to make room for Clayton Thorson. But when you’ve got the right person by your side, nothing else really matters. He knew he had the love of his life with him, so he was ready to take on whatever challenges came his way.

Lauryn brought some good luck with her when the Cowboys turned to Cooper as their QB1 after Dak Prescott got injured and was sidelined for the rest of the 2020 season. Then, in 2021, Rush had his first NFL start as the starting QB against the Vikings in Week 8. His NFL journey hasn’t been an easy one, bouncing between the practice squad and the active roster. Who is Lauryn Rush?

A native of Illinois, Lauryn was born to Joseph and Patricia Marchert in 1992. She also has two siblings: a brother, Joe, and a sister, Sarah. She’s got a lot of skills, having worked in financial firms and tried her hand as a health coach. A University of Michigan alum, she has also worked for Bloomberg in Chicago.

Lauryn and Cooper, after getting married in 2020, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Ayla, in April 2021. In 2023, Ayla became a big sister, welcoming her little sister, Evelyn Frances Rush. Since then, the QB’s wife has been all about embracing motherhood, making sure she spends most of her time with her little ones before they grow up. She often shares sneak peeks from the Cooper family on her Instagram.

Back in June, the couple celebrated four years of marriage. Posting a throwback picture from their big day, the 31-year-old captioned, “What a life we’ve created these last FOUR years 🤍 Happy Anniversary my love and very best friend.” Cooper Rush has been leading the Cowboys as the starting QB for a few weeks now. In a few hours, he’ll be facing off against the Bengals at AT&T Stadium. Hopefully, we’ll see a glimpse of the QB’s sweet family in the stands.
