“The biggest blessing in my life!” That’s what Collin Johnson said about his girlfriend, Sara Machado. The Chicago Bears wide receiver has made significant contributions on the field, just like he did in the 2024 NFL preseason game making three catches for 56 yards and two touchdowns. However, what keeps him motivated, and in-tact is his biggest supporter, Machado, of whom Johnson is proud.

The high school sweethearts have been together since their teenage years from Valley Christian in San Jose, California, till today in Chicago. This is evident from an Instagram post of Johnson wherein he shared a photo with his partner, writing, “Valentine since ’15.” That means their long relationship which started in 2015 also saw the phase wherein Johnson played with the Texas Longhorns, the Jaguars, and now with the Bears.

As obvious, Machado is a fan of her boyfriend and always supports him by attending games through all his ups and downs. Acknowledging her support for him, Johnson mentioned, “Graduated high school together…Graduated college together… Appreciation post for my ride or die” with a red heart. Machado’s contribution in his life is also clearly proven in Johnson’s IG post of 2018, wherein he wrote a beautiful note for his better half for completing three years together.

The professional athlete fell in love with Machado as he said, “3 years down with the biggest blessing in my life! I couldn’t be more proud to call you my girlfriend! You have been by my side through thick and thin and there is nothing I can ever do to repay you for the fulfillment you bring to my life! I love you, 3 years down…forever to go!”

And yes, they are going on forever as Johnson has already popped up the much-awaited question to his lady.

A big reason to choose Santa Cruz as his ‘proposal’ location!

When with the Jags in 2020, Johnson proposed to Machado on June 26 on the beach of Santa Cruz, California. Interestingly, this place has been the couple’s go-to spot since their high school time. Therefore, Johnson wrote, “THE BIG MOMENT: This swing has been our get away spot, so I figured it was the perfect place to pop the question!” And what happened next is perfectly picturized in one of his IG posts, wherein the couple is seen celebrating with champagne and a kiss.

The player excitedly wrote, “She said YES!! Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with YOU!” In an X post, he expressed his love for his lady, and tweeted, “My rock through out Highschool, college, and now the NFL! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us next!” His social media platforms indicate that the couple is madly in love with each other as they keep sharing cute and lovely pictures.
