Not many get to tie the knot with their college sweethearts. One of the lucky ones is the Green Bay Packers receiver Christian Watson, who got married to his now wife, Lakyn Adkins (now Watson). Adkins supporting Watson on Bison game days transitioned to her being on the stands at Packers games and then the couple got married in Malibu, California.

About 4 years ago, the Packers receiver announced his relationship with Adkins and things just took off from there. Earlier, Mrs. Watson used to be a cosmetologist, but nowadays she’s a dog mom and lives in Wisconsin with her wide receiver husband. So, is there more to who Lakyn Watson is? There surely is.

What Watkins does for work these days is not clear. What is clear, though, is that she’s Christian Watson’s no. 1 fan. Her Instagram handle, @lakyn_watson, boasts 4.3k followers, and it’s full of solo pictures, portraits with friends, and memories at the Green Bay Packers games. Whatever photo she uploads, Christian Watson is there to make sure that it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Nearly two years ago, she uploaded the first picture from that account, and it was captioned, “Since @instagram deactivated my other account here’s a cute pic from the last home game :).” The picture shows Christian and Lakyn twinning in black and white attire, while they look each other in the eyes as if they had no care in the world. Talk about candid photos!

We also know that she eagerly waits for home games too! About two years ago, the Packers had a home game and sure enough, Lakyn was there dressed in all-black attire, donning a transparent handbag that had “WATSON” written on it. Apparently, the day happened to be her birthday and Christian didn’t fail to give her the much-warranted attention.

“Happiest of birthdays, to my sidekick. This life with you is something that’s out of a dream. I’m so proud of you for all your accomplishments and who you are becoming. I love you beyond what words can describe — happy birthday Christian 🤍,” happened to be the title of the photo where Christian Watson is leaning to kiss his then-girlfriend, who happened to be at the stands.

But gone are the days when the couple used to refer to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend. Earlier this year, Christian and Lakyn completed a beautiful milestone in their lives, and they did it in style. Yes, we are talking about this power couple’s marriage.

From the get-go, the couple had similar preferences. The smallest things like the couple wearing Vans shoes at NDSU game days are a testament to that. “It was exactly what we were looking for,” Watson said of the time the couple got married in the mountains of Malibu, California to the 25-year-old Lakyn.

But it was a busy football season and Christian couldn’t be there to manage the nitty-gritty of the nuptial. Since Lakyn and Christian were on the same page about how they wanted their wedding to look, the Packers receiver left it on to Lakyn and Tori Perrano of Passera events to make the wedding magical.

“Since I was busy with football, I let Lakyn take the lead with Tori. I gave her items that I really wanted to see happen for our wedding and she carried that out,” Watson said. Jordan Love, De’Vondre Campbell, Aaron Jones, Bo Melton, Josiah Deguara, Samori Toure, and Romeo Doubs were among a few Packers who were there to share the precious moment with the Watson couple.

“Our wedding was exactly who we are — from the design, food, location, food and attire,” Watson said via People Magazine. White flowers, a matching gown, and a beautiful bouquet in hand might be one of the most pleasant feelings in a bride’s life. Lakyn Watson got all that and more.

It’s been a wild ride since 2017 when the couple first met. Who knows, they might even welcome a beautiful life at some point in the future.
