Linebacker Christian Elliss will be playing for the New England Patriots this year. The last two years have been rocky. He wasn’t picked in the 2021 NFL draft but Minnesota Vikings signed him later in 2021 before releasing him. Struggling to find a permanent spot in the NFL, the linebacker’s personal life was smooth. He married the woman of his life, Kaysie, On May 29, 2021. A proud wife, she isn’t shy of calling herself, the “#1 fan of Christian Elliss.”

A sports lover, Kaysie has played soccer throughout her life. And she was pretty good at it. While studying at Gig Harbor High School, Washington from 2013 to 2017, Elliss’s wife was a school team member. Bringing passion to her college, she actively played for the University of Idaho. A proud Vandals alumni, she had plenty of good memories, one of which was meeting her husband for the first time. But how did players from two different sports meet?

The LB always had one passion, football. And he arrived at the Vandals on a scholarship. But the University was struggling with one problem. Funds for women’s soccer, men’s golf, and swim & dive! He actively campaigned for donations for these sports. And she was smitten. What followed were 3 years of relationship.

While they were managing their respective sports, they didn’t cut down their ‘us’ time. What also brought them together was their devotion to God. Hence, at a young age (both were in their early 20s), they exchanged vows in the presence of their families and friends. While the LB progressed to the next stage of his football career (NFL), his wife decided to take charge of her home. And to motivate her husband.

Kaysie is often seen in the stadiums cheering for the athlete. But nowadays, she isn’t alone in the stands. Their sons are also there.

On April 13, 2021, the couple welcomed their first son, Koa John Tuitele Ellis. The LB posted a photo of his son while calling him god’s gift to the couple. He didn’t forget to praise his ‘amazing’ wife as well. Next year brought in good news once again for the new parents.

Announcing an addition to their family of three, Kaysie wrote on her Facebook in July 2023, “

We are beyond grateful to be adding another little boy to our family next month 

God is too good!!!.” They welcomed their second son ‘Elaia’ in August. With children and a lovely yet inspiring wife by his side, the linebacker gets more power to battle in the biggest football league.

The Pats going through a revival after the departure of Tom Brady. Can Elliss play a part in that? We will see in the season.
