Is Kimberly Keenum the real MVP in Case Keenum's life and career?

Case Keenum’s support system is strong! Covering phenomenal NFL milestones across his career, Case owes a great deal to his wife, Kimberly Keenum. Playing as a QB for the Houston Texans, he is now on the cards for mentoring rookie QB C.J. Stroud. Not only this, but he has recently become a part of the NFLPA executive committee. And, across his journey, Kimberly has been a strong pillar of support for Case.

Kimberly Keenum, neé, Caddell was born in Texas City, to American parents. She has two older brothers who are ardent football players. She went to Wylie High School in Abilene, Texas, studying pre-speech studies between 2008-2011. She later went to Texas Tech University Health Science Center, for the term spanning across 2011 to 2013. While she started her career as a marketing agent for an organization in Houston, she switched to the role of pathology assistant later at the Southeast Texas Cooperative for Social Services in Splendora, Texas.

Kimberly and Case met while they were still in high school, particularly during the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) event. As she recalls the early days of her relationship when Case asked her to get a snow cone with him, she added, “It really started with a snow cone.” While they lost touch for a while, they reconnected again during their college days.

And, soon after, they got married in June 2011 in a private ceremony in Abilene, Texas. When Case faced an ACL injury during college, Kimberly tended to him which made him realize his love for her. He stated, “I realized how much she loved me. She showed it. I don’t think I could have gotten that from anybody else.” From Case’s college to his NFL journey, the couple has been inseparable.

Kimberly has not only provided emotional support to Case but has helped him extensively. Notably, she played a stimulating role in helping Case memorize the playbook. And, this role was also recorded in HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” centered on the Los Angeles Rams in 2016. Showing a deep appreciation for his wife, Case added, “I needed some help early on, so [Kimberly] would help read off plays. I was hearing it, understanding it, studying it that way.”

What binds Kimberly and Case together is not only their profound love but faith. Both Case and Kimberly are deeply religious. While Case is an active Christian, Kimberly’s association with FCA since 7th grade reflects how she has intertwined the world of sports and faith. She stated, “I just loved it. I felt like it was a way that I was able to share my faith through sports, and it gave me a great platform.” She further added, “Everything we’ve been through, God has always been there in our lives.”

Moreover, Kimberly never fails to cherish the victories of her loving husband. She initiated the tradition of making “victory waffles” when Case was playing with the Rams and even continued the tradition to Minnesota. Kimberly and Case are just everyday people, who find enjoyment in small things like grabbing dinner with friends. And, this is exactly what the fans love about them.
