Amon-Ra St. Brown's secret love life revealed—Is Brooklyn Adams his good luck charm on the field?

The Netflix series “Receiver” had some epic reveals concerning players’ lives including Amon Ra St. Brown. We got to know how he battled through an injury during the 2o23 season and suffered from hand, mouth, and foot disease at one point. Another important revelation concerned the Detroit Lions wide receiver’s girlfriend Brooklyn Adams. Apart from the WR, Adams also made an appearance on the show and divulged some interesting details about herself and their relationship.

While not many would know of Amon Ra St. Brown’s relationship with Adams, the two have been high school sweethearts—Brown couldn’t help but court the girl he met in his English class over a project during his sophomore year. As St. Brown revealed in the series they started dating at the end of the sophomore year. As the Detriot star focuses on his football career, the hardworking Adams is aspiring to become a nurse in California’s Orange County. Thus, the two are making the long-distance relationship work.

In the fourth episode of the series, we see St. Brown on his way to pick up Adams as he reveals that Friday is the only time they can meet since she has class throughout the week. As Adams appears on the screen she talks about her career and life.

“I knew that nursing school was what I wanted to do, and I didn’t exactly know what Amon-Ra was gonna do. So, I got into nursing school and then, not too long after, the draft happened,” Adams said.

We then see the two discussing the pronunciation of St. Brown’s first name, Amon Ra, which the wide receiver said came after an Egyptian sun god. Adams then details how everybody pronounces his name differently, from his brothers to his parents and even the commentators, showcasing she knows the Lions’ player’s family well.

As they arrive at St.Brown’s place, Adams can be heard saying, “Home sweet home. I love being here.” Essentially, it is not just the love that bonds them together, they care for and support each other. Like that small clip from the show where before the game, the powerhouse wide receiver is charged by a good luck kiss and an ‘I love you’ from his belle.

While the two have been rarely seen together before the series, if at all, post the same, Brooklyn and St. Brown were captured together dazzling in all-black and big smiles, looking comfortable in each other’s company. Additionally, it is not just the nurse-to-be girlfriend who supports the young receiver, her family often watches the games and cheers for Amon Ra St. Brown.

Apart from these, there have been instances where Brooklyn unconditionally stood by the Lions wide receiver and supported him with enthusiasm. One such occurrence includes the famous ‘Lambeau Leap’ during the aggressive Green Bay Packers’ clash.

The love and concern shine through Brooklyn for Amon Ra St. Brown

As the clips from the documentary made waves, many in the NFL town were unaware of the severity of St. Brown’s injuries. He played through a torn oblique injury through the 2023 season. He suffered a toe injury in the second game of the year, then the oblique injury a week later. Surprisingly he missed just one week through the injury.

Just a few weeks after he “tore [his] oblique completely off the bone,” Brown experienced a severe case of hand, foot, and mouth disease. It resulted in brutal red spots all over his body. In the fourth episode, a concerned Adams mentioned, “I wanna cry. I felt so bad. He was in so much pain…When he was playing he was sweating so much that the spots on his hands and his feet turned into open sores and blisters. So he played that entire game with blisters popping.”

St. Brown played the entire game against the Raiders suffering from the disease but made it through and he had his family alongside Adams cheering him on.

While this showcases how close the two are to sharing their pain and suffering, it also reflects the concern Brooklyn has for her boyfriend who was going through a tough time. Not only this but during the game in September against the Packers, when he scored a touchdown and made a Lambeau Leap, there were some unsavoury scenes.

His marvelous celebration was met with a Packers fan pouring beer on his helmet and jersey. Taking to social media Brooklyn Adams wrote, “I’m mad. I’m over here like, “Lady, seriously?” Indicating how uncalled-for the action was.

However, Brown had a slightly funnier reaction than this to the incident. He remarked, “I was a little tipsy as I got… as I came down.” To which a reporter asked Brown, as shown in the ‘Receivers’ clip, “In a weird way, is it like a badge of honor?” Brown chuckled and said, “I have no idea. I mean, I lost my Lambeau Leap virginity.

Besides the insights in the Receiver docuseries, there is not much information available about Brooklyn Adams. But yes, fans could expect more public appearances of the couple together from now on. Meanwhile, besides Amon-Ra St. Brown, other pass catchers – Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Davante Adams, and Deebo Samuel – are also making their on-screen appearances in the Netflix series that was released on Wednesday, July 10th.
