At least the offseason ended well for the quarterback! The 2023 season for the New England Patriots was arguably the worst as they won only 4 games and lost 13. In fact, the team’s quarterback, Bailey Zappe admitted that too. He accepted his on-field mistakes in May, saying, “There were some things personally that I felt like I did really good, and there were some things that I feel I did really bad at. Mistakes that I made cost us games.”  But luckily, not everything went bad for the Evil Empire’s QB.

Despite Zappe’s on-field mistakes, he’s progressing on the personal front. He held the hand of his love for forever. After overcoming the 2023 season heartbreak, Zappe fulfilled a promise to his love, Hannah Lewis.

Bailey Zappe’s wife was also into sports!

Bailey Zappe’s wife Hannah Lewis is a Texas native, who attended Plano West High School. Like Zappe, she also excelled in sports, as Lewis was a two-year letter volleyball player. In 2020, she earned a degree in Business Administration and Management. Zappe’s wife currently works as a medical assistant at Lewis Pain and Physical Medicine in Massachusetts, and is his biggest supporter. But how did this journey of love start?

The couple met each other at Houston Baptist college about seven years ago in 2017. And after a lot of texting, they soon fell in love with each other. Since then, the couple has been dating. While recalling his first date at Panera, Zappe jokingly recalled how he was stressed after Lewis refused to let him pay for her food on the date.

He expressed, “I’m from the South, and that’s one of the things you have to do! I was sitting there like, ‘Look, I have to do this, otherwise I’m gonna be shamed by my parents.’” This incident itself tells how much respect, care, love and support they have for each other. Even when Zappe made his first NFL start on October 9, 2022, Lewis attended the game and cheered for the quarterback.

She also shared a picture of Jumbotron on which Zappe could be seen wearing the Pats’ jersey. Lewis wrote, “Looking like a snack in that throwback jersey BZ” on her Instagram story. Next year, in 2023, Zappe and Lewis got engaged and now, the couple has tied the knot in the mountains!

There are times when a player needs to struggle on the gridiron to score touchdowns. For Bailey Zappe, the struggle continued in his personal life as well when searching for the perfect location to propose to his then-girlfriend, Hannah Lewis. Zappe earlier had a sweet plan to propose to Lewis at a Jason Aldean concert. But, as plans sometimes do, it leaked out.

Hannah, catching wind of the surprise, excitedly went dress shopping with her family in Dallas. She laughed, “I did everything backward: I got the dress, and then I got engaged.” Then they dreamed of a big barn wedding in Texas, but soon realized a smaller, more intimate event will suit them better. This was because as Lewis mentioned, “We both have very small circles, and we aren’t huge partiers. It just didn’t fit our style. We sat down and talked to each other and said, ‘Let’s just elope with our family.” Then they finally got an idea!

Inspired by their favorite show, Yellowstone, they chose to elope in Montana, inviting only 30 close family members. For the event, they hired Sydney Evans to plan and photograph the event. This intimate gathering allowed the couple and their guests to enjoy hiking and sightseeing in the beautiful Montana landscape before the big day.

On July 3, 2024, they held a scenic ceremony by a mountainside lake, officiated by Zappe’s college coach, Zach Kittley. The celebration continued with a dinner featuring their favorite foods and a two- tier cake combining their preferred flavors. Not only that! The reception, adorned with white roses, was followed by Fourth of July fireworks back at the cabins, wrapping up their unforgettable wedding celebration.

Now the couple is living ‘Zappily’ ever after!
