Alex Cappa is making it big in the NFL! And his wife, Emily Cappa’s support has undoubtedly helped him propel his career. Transitioning from playing his college football at Humboldt State University, where he earned GNAC Offensive Lineman of the Year for four years straight, he made it into the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018. One of the peak moments was when he protected QB Tom Brady as they notched their 2021 Super Bowl LV triumph.
Down the line, signing a four-year deal with Cincinnati Bengals in 2022, the football guard is etching records. Contributing to the team’s offensive line, he is going strong each day. However, Alex’s exceptional performance stems from the off-field backing of his better half, Emily Cappa.

Emily Morehead, now known as Emily Cappa, has established a distinct identity of her own. She is a licensed attorney in Arizona, and at present, she is a part of the Term Law Clerk for the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Emily completed her graduation back in 2020, from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. And, with all her hard work, she even shined brightly as JD summa cum laude. She also holds a BA(Hons) degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
Throughout her career, she has very evocatively balanced her roles, interning at legal firms, while taking part in community roles. Upon completing her degree, she took to her social media to update her fans. She captioned her post, “Graduated law school *virtually* today. I’m pretty excited to finally have my JD but I think someone else is more excited…” It hints at the second image in the post, as Alex holds up the degree goofily while being proud of his wife.
Besides her professional career, she beautifully balances her personal life, cheering for her hubby from the sidelines during his games.
When Did Alex and Emily Cappa get married?
Alex and Emily’s love story goes way back to 2010, when they were freshmen at Dublin High School. It was in the drama department that they crossed paths. During their sophomore year, they took part in a one-act play as a married couple in an abusive relationship. Recalling the act from the past, Emily even remarked, “Fortunately, that was all fiction.” One month after that, they began dating.

Without wasting much time, the couple exchanged vows on March 7, 2020. The event was held at The Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and Spa in Livermore, California, celebrating their togetherness with the hashtag #OneMoreCappa. Moreover, for the wedding, the couple mentioned, “There is no pressure to give a wedding gift.” Rather than physical gifts, they made more reasonable suggestions for contributions to either their honeymoon fund, the down payment for their future home, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
In May 2023, the lovely couple welcomed their first child, Cody James, arriving five weeks early. Alex and Emily even made an Instagram post announcing the news, stating, “His lungs were not as ready as he was, but the wonderful staff at the NICU are helping Cody get strong.” Later, Emily made another post calling 2023 “Cody’s year.” Happily, they make a lovely family together, cherishing each moment with each other.
