Dealing with an injury once or twice can not bring as much amount of toll as consecutive injuries can bring. And probably that’s why, when Zayne Anderson suffered multiple injuries back-to-back, he started questioning his abilities. But at that moment, his parents were there to hold him and help him navigate the rough patches.
Born on January 3, 1997, at Stansbury Park, UT, Zayne Anderson, is the first child of Angie Anderson and Robert Anderson. Together, the couple shares three other children–two sons and one daughter. The couple likes to keep a low profile evident from their online presence. Angie has kept her profile private, while it appears that Robert does not have any social media accounts. Hence, the details of the couple’s first meeting or even their profession haven’t been disclosed online. But from time to time, their footballer son uploads their pictures on his official Instagram account. And guess what? From these pictures, it’s clearly visible how close Zayne is with his family, especially his parents.
In one of the pictures uploaded in November, 2015, Zayne (then 18-years-old), can be seen posing with his three other younger siblings, and his parents. This smiling vintage photo surely reminded him of his family, and that’s the reason he wrote, “Missing them a lot today. So blessed to have such an amazing family,” as the caption. This shows how close and special his family is to Zayne.

And that’s not all, he once shared a picture with his momma, who can be seen hugging him tightly post game in Utah in 2017. Expressing his love and honor for the things which Angie did for him, the Packers safety wrote, “love my mama!! i’m forever grateful for everything she does for me and my fam” with a blue heart. Then in the following year, in February 2018, Zayne again uploaded a picture of himself with mom and dad, and wrote, “feeling extra grateful for the fam today!” The reason behind him writing this caption appears to be because Angie and Robert went to support and watch their son in a collegiate football game at Brigham Young University.
Moreover, it was his parents who reignited the fire in him whenever he felt low.

Zayne Anderson’s parents helped him to fight back the struggles!
Zayne Anderson, who belongs to the small town of Stansbury Park, Utah, had big dreams. He was determined to be a footballer. However, when he started with little league football, he faced multiple challenges. And the challenge was–he often sat on the bench behind the coach’s son. Talking about those days, mom Angie Anderson said, “He knew he had to work a little extra” to be on the front. Hence, knowing this, he worked hard. So, when he finally got his chance, he surprised everyone. Zayne scored five touchdowns in just one game. But wait, this was just the beginning of his journey!
Zayne excelled in both football and track in his high school. But his father, Robert Anderson, recalled an incident which made him proud of his son. So, the story is once he stood second in his state. And while recalling that incident in an interview in 2018, Robert said, he “was walking off the track with him [Zayne] and I remember saying – That’s awesome Zayne; not many kids can say that they took second in state.”

Robert points out the athlete’s reply, stating, “He looked at me and he said, ‘No, it’s not awesome, dad. I should’ve done better. I should’ve taken first. It won’t happen next year.’ And then next year he went to the state championship, and he took first in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m and the sprint medley.” Well, the resilience he has shown is definitely credited to his parents, who have been his rock throughout his journey.
And that’s the reason, when he was suffering from shoulder injuries and self-doubts, Zayne sought solace in his parents and memories of his grandfather. They helped him in “watching old films of himself and remembered that he can play — and is actually a pretty good player.” Additionally, it’s the good teachings of his father and grandfather who taught him “that you can achieve anything that you want if you work for it.” And for Zayne, “That’s been his foundation” forever!
