Would Skyy Moore be where he is today without the backing of his parents, Roger and Timika?

Two-time Super Bowl winner Skyy Moore is enjoying the time of his career. In his first two years in the NFL, he has achieved what many could not succeed in their careers. All those achievements wouldn’t have been possible without his family’s support. The young boy started playing football when he was 2 years old. With his parent’s guidance, he has grown into an NFL star.

Skyy Edward Moore was born to Roger Moore and Timika Hastie on September 10, 2000, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. He has dreamt of playing in the NFL ever since he was a young child. While his father was busy with his own life, his mother, Timika, became his guardian and would answer his questions, but his thirst for knowledge couldn’t be quenched. Yet she would try to explain the game as much as she could before he started playing at the Valley High School in New Kensington. But suddenly Timika noticed something.

‘A man is known by the company he keeps’. She understood the true meaning of those words. Hence, when she saw that his friends’ attitudes and behavior might put her son’s future in danger. She didn’t waste time and moved him to Shady Side Academy in Fox Chapel. This act transformed his life as he had an all-around development, excelling in both sports and academics. Riding on this wave of confidence, he had 1000 rushing yards and 46 touchdowns in his senior season in WPIAL.

Apart from his mother, he has a lovely bond with his younger sister, Layke, and younger brother, Landyn. Both look up to their big bro for guidance and support during his games. Landyn also plays football like Skyy. Timika must be eager to watch both her sons play in the big league. The close-knit family has allowed the athlete to achieve big things in life.

Family’s reaction to Skyy Moore’s first Super Bowl

The wide receiver must be feeling pressure in his first Super Bowl ( for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles) in 2022. However, Timika was more tense. She was present in the stadium to cheer for him. Amazed at the stadium’s atmosphere, she said, “I’m so excited. But I’m so nervous as well. It’s just a lot of energy, there’s so much love and support. So, it’s going to be a great time, but it’s just a lot of nerves.” Other family members were also feeling the same.

Renee Shannon, Skyy’s grandmother, was also happy for him. An NFL athlete as a grandson is surely exciting. She adores the championships he has won and never misses a chance to pose alongside the trophy cabinet. Pumping up Skyy and his teammates for the game, she mentioned, “Chiefs! All the way, baby. Yes, there’s no other explanation.

With the right kind of people around him, he also looks in fine form for the upcoming season. His comeback is much anticipated in the Chiefdom. His family will be rooting for the young athlete to conquer and triumph. Chiefs are eying 3-peat and Skyy would be hoping to add 1 more achievement to his career.
