When UCLA linebacker, Oluwafemi Oladejo, went to his home for the first time in 13 years, people didn’t understand his game. According to him, they said, “What’s the point of that? You guys are hurting yourself, basically.” Oladejo showed them the video in which he was seen dodging tackles and taking opponents down. Obviously, the tackle wasn’t what he expected. Still, Oladejo didn’t let that discourage him.
The result – Oluwafemi Oladejo is likely to enter the NFL soon! The linebacker is seen as a great talent for the San Francisco 49ers. His dream, that he saw at a young age and worked hard to achieve, is going to be true at this year’s NFL Draft. And most of the credit also goes to his parents, especially his momma.

Who is Oluwafemi Oladejo’s mom, Victoria Gbodi?
Born on September 20, 2003, Oluwafemi Oladejo has deep Nigerian roots, thanks to his mother, Victoria Gbodi. She’s of Nigerian descent and has been the backbone of their family. Raising Oladejo and his older brother was not at all easy. Their mother, Gbodi, carried all the weight. But how? Well, just like the mothers of the world, Gbodi made countless sacrifices. Despite being single, she ensured her sons had everything they needed. Everything here counts in from life lessons to strong support. And that’s the reason Oladejo and his 10-year-old brother are closer to their momma than dad. This statement you can feel in the next line!

During an interview earlier, Oluwafemi Oladejo informed his fans about Gbodi’s constant support. He expressed, “I still love my dad, I talk to him everyday, but my mom, she really built a great foundation in me. She always told me when I was younger: The things you’re doing now, you’ll see them in the future, why I’m making you do them. And I started seeing them when I got to college, so definitely respect her, love her. She deserves it all.” Yes! The woman who is happy to see her child grow and remains with them truly deserves all. Here in this case, Gbodi too. And why shouldn’t she? After all, the single momma remained with him through his ups and downs.
Her happiness seeing Oladejo win can also be a perfect example of her love for the player. For instance, once, when she attended Oluwafemi Oladejo’s final game at USC in 2021, the LB said, “That was the first game my mom went to, so that was my year. I have a video, but we were dancing on the field after we won, so it was just a good time.” You can clearly see the winning emotions mom and son share with each other. And guess what? About that game, the athlete added, “I had probably my best play of college football (so far).” Great! But not only his mother, Oladejo also had someone in his life who made things easier for him.
