Earlier, in 2019, when Chenal’s brothers competed with each other in the final matchup of the Badger Drill at Camp Randall Stadium, mom Brenda applauded their competitive spirit.

Probably the biggest thing they have going,” she added. Besides this, the mom of 16 kids also revealed the different personalities of her 12th oldest son, Leo, and his sibling John. “It’s interesting because I would say Leo is more shy one-on-one, whereas John is more shy in a crowd and more outward in smaller settings,”  Leo’s mom added.

However, they have different personalities in the field, and the mutual regard between John and Leo is unequivocally substantial.

Who is Leo Chenal’s brother?

Among Leo Chenal’s 15 siblings, John Chenal stands out due to his similar football ambitions. Both brothers played for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, showcasing their talent on the same team. Interestingly, the Grantsburg Chenal brothers entered the NFL Draft together in 2022, marking a significant milestone in their shared football journey.

Reportedly, Chiefs linebacker, Leo Chenal often credits his competitive drive to his growing up with brothers.  “When I was a little kid, I was always trying to pick fights with them and stuff,” Leo, 23 earlier stated. “That’s where I think I got all my energy and all my passion—just being able to compete with brothers growing up, always being physical with them, starting fights and everything,” he also added.

Interestingly, John also claimed the same. “He was kind of the guy who would get everyone riled up, whether it’s good or bad, He’d start talking and getting loud. The next thing you know, we’re fighting,”  John Chenal remarked. “He has a way of getting everyone amped up and ready to go,” he further explained.

Not only this, earlier in 2017, Leo expressed his gratitude to his parents and siblings through an Instagram post. It came when he was enrolled at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. “Thank you to my parents for providing me with the opportunity to get better and supporting me. Thank you to my brothers and sisters for pushing me to be better and also keeping me humble. Thank you to my coaches for developing me as a player and a person. And Coach Hale for putting my name out there.”
