“He is an outstanding communicator with the ability to lead people and has a clear vision for this football team,” Mickey Loomis, Saints executive VP and GM praised Kellen Moore. It indeed demonstrated Moore’s standings and eminence in the NFL world. Thrilled at this moment, former Eagles Offensive Coordinator, Moore who took charge as the New Or͏l͏e͏ans Sai͏nts head coach seemed excited. “I look forward to embracing the challenges ahead and am eager to get started. I would also like to thank the Philadelphia Eagles for an incredible 2024 season. I’m excited to begin this new chapter,” he stated.

With this new role, the 36-year-old has become the youngest head coach in the NFL. And, of course, no one is as proud as his wife and kids for his first head coaching role. Hence, fans are invested in knowing about them.

Besides his accomplished football career, Moore, a former Cowboys quarterbacks coach, has an impressive personal life. In 2011, he married his high school sweetheart, Julie Wilson. The couple reportedly blossomed in love while attending Prosser High School in Benton County, Washington.

Since then, the power couple has been relishing each other’s company. And, profoundly, now they are parents to their 4 kids. Kellen Moore and his wife have been raising their 2 sons Kyler and Beckham, and two adorable daughters, Halle and Madelyn together.

However, the Saints’ new HC maintains his low profile as he likes staying away from the limelight. Hence, the details of his wife and kids’ personal lives remain limited. Moore’s transitions from NFL player to a quarterbacks coach, offensive coordinator and now head coach truly showcase his determination towards sports.

After finishing his college football career at Boise State Broncos with an NCAA-best 50-3 record, he went undrafted in the 2012 NFL draft. Later, he started his NFL career as a quarterback. Impressively, from 2012 to 2017, he played as a backup QB for several NFL teams including  Cowboys and Lions.  After spending around 6 seasons in the NFL as a QB, he decided to take a break from his playing career in 2018. And, then he began his NFL coaching career with the Cowboys.

And, before the 2025 Super Bowl game against the Chiefs, Moore revealed his coaching background on  February 6. He remarked that the influence came from his family, as his father was the Prosser Mustangs’ HC. It gave him a Friday Night Lights feel, as the local high school players were his real source of motivation. After school he used to rush to the football ground to be the team’s ball boy, just to hang around them.

That foundation eventually led him to coach exceptionally in this Super Bowl. Interestingly, from 2018 to February 2025, he served as the offensive coordinator of the Cowboys, Chargers, and Philadelphia Eagles. And, before becoming the Saint’s head coach on February 11, 2025, his tenure with the Eagles was really noteworthy. Impressively, since he joined the Eagles as their offensive coordinator on February 5, 2024, the Eagles earned several accomplishments including an NFL East win and a Super Bowl LIX triumph on February 9, 2025, with a score of 40–22.

And, now, he has become the youngest head coach in the NFL as he looks forward to his shining head coaching career ahead.
