Do you think Kayvon Thibodeaux's success is more about talent or the strong family backing he has?

You put everything on the line every day just so that your family can be happy.” This statement by Kayvon Thibodeaux tells that the New York Giants linebacker is a family man who loves his family a lot. And this is also evident from Thibodeaux’s Instagram post of January 2022, in which he shared a snap of his family, with a caption: “The only Reason I need.

Born on December 15, 2000, in Los Angeles, California, Kayvon Thibodeaux is reportedly the only child of mother Shawnta Loice and father Angelo Thibodeaux. According to reports, the couple hails from Louisiana but likely no longer live together. Some sources suggest that, due to unknown reasons, Shawnta and Angelo may have divorced when Kayvon was very young.

This might explain why Kayvon has never spoken about his father or acknowledged his contributions to his football journey in the media. Nevertheless, his mother, Shawnta, was always by his side. She was the one who raised Kayvon Thibodeaux single-handedly, because of whom, the athlete is into football with a winning attitude.

And guess what? Kayvon Thibodeaux’s mother is his manager too, who manages the linebacker’s career off-field as well as helping him in fulfilling his obligations and commitments to the team. Besides handling Thibodeaux’s schedules, she also makes sure that her child performs at his best. Apart from it, Shawnta herself is a highly educated woman who also wanted her son to excel both in studies and sports. And that happened too! Interestingly, Kayvon “did not disappoint his mother and concentrated on both his academic and sports endeavors.” And the result is, he achieved 4.0 GPA in college as well as is now living his dream in the NFL world!

In addition to that, this mother and son duo has done some charity work, too. For instance, in 2023, Kayvon Thibodeaux and his mother, Shawnta Loice, “helped out at Community FoodBank of NJ on behalf of Campbell’s Chunky Sacks Hunger, where they donated 11,000 products based on the Giants performance of last season.” This shows that Kayvon Thibodeaux’s mother not only instilled sports or academics in his blood, she has also developed a caring and kind man. And that’s the reason why Thibodeaux loves his mother a lot, surprising her with a grand gift last year.

Kayvon Thibodeaux gifted his mom, Shawnta Loice, a house!

We never sat at the table with my family. We never had a place for all the family to get together for Christmas and for holidays when the time came, so now just being able to provide that is a blessing. I guess I just want this video to be an inspiration.” Kayvon Thibodeaux said this after he purchased a new house for his momma, Shawnta Loice. He revealed that for five years of his life, he wasn’t able to sit with his mother while having dinner because they “lived with another family while Thibodeaux was at Oaks Christian (Calif.) high school, where he became a five-star recruit and the second-highest-rated high-school prospect in the class of 2019.

Sharing a tour to her new home for the first time, Thibodeaux wrote: “It started with a dream, turned it into a goal. Love you, mom, you deserve the world! (with a blue heart emoji).” In the uploaded video, Loice can be seen having waterworks even before she entered the first room of her home. And once it started, the proud mom wasn’t able to control her emotions throughout the video. She was even seen hugging Kayvon Thibodeaux with pride and happy tears in her eyes.

There is no doubt that Loice is extremely proud of his only child, as she highlighted, “To be able to see him living out his dreams, like he really just bought his mom a house. That’s crazy.”
