Ka’imi Fairbairn is becoming a key player for the Houston Texans helping his team to win in every possible way. But apart from being a placekicker in the league and loving football, Ka’imi Fairbairn is also a family man who loves his family and ethnicity.
Born on January 29, 1994, in Kailua, Hawaii, U.S., Ka’imi Fairbairn is the oldest child of John and Rochelle Fairbairn. The couple share two more kids – a son Kona, and a daughter Kiara. Instead of following the bandwagon of keeping a similar name to that of father’s, John and Rochelle planned to name Ka’imi, sticking with their Hawaiian roots.
According to multiple websites, Ka’imi means – “seeker of wisdom.” Hence, speaking about the same, the athlete said, “Hawaiians have a long ancestry. It’s really meaningful for me to go by my Hawaiian name.” But that’s not the only story!

Besides naming kids while keeping the Hawaiian roots, Ka’imi Fairbairn’s parents have also helped their children to grow and succeed in their respective careers. By profession, mom Rochelle is an “early childhood teacher and advocate,” as per the profile of her X account. However, John’s professional life isn’t mentioned anywhere in public, and hence, it’s clear that the couple prefers to keep a private life away from the media or cameras.
Nevertheless, it’s pretty sure that Ka’imi Fairbairn makes his parents and the Hawaiian community proud whenever he kicks off any field game in the league.
Ka’imi Fairbairn is a reliable star for the Texans!
Drafted in 2016 by the Houston Texans, Ka’imi Fairbairn keeps leading the team to wins in the NFL games. For instance, recently his kick “put his team ahead 22-21 with 1:48 remaining in regulation against the Green Bay Packers.”
Although the Packers won the matchup with 2 points, the kicker’s attempt contributed to the team’s improvement in score. In addition to that, during the Colts game, “converted all three field-goal attempts and both extra-point kicks” leading his team to win. Till now, he has a career field goal percentage of 87.4%.
