Orbin believed strongly in his son’s potential, often telling his colleagues that Jordan would make it to the NFL. Orbin later became a sergeant in the Bakersfield Police Department.

The Packers released Campbell on March 10, for not finding him a big time investment, using a post-June 1 designation, after allowing them to spread his dead-money cap hit over the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Initially, Campbell’s 2024 cap charge was $14.23 million. By using this strategy, the Packers saved about $10.57 million on the 2024 cap, leaving Campbell with a $3.66 million cap hit for that year and $7.97 million for 2025. As a result, the Packers are now about $30.38 million under the cap, one of the best positions in the league. With this freed-up cap space, the Packers can now focus on Jordan Love’s contract extension, potentially worth around $200 million over four years.
