Jordan Addison’s first year alongside Justin Jefferson and Kirk Cousins was nothing short of electric. But he’s always showed signs that he was a phenom on the field and it goes back to his second season at the Pitt Panthers. A huge chunk of that motivation goes to his parents Keisha Blackman and Rolando Addison.
Born Jordan Lee Addison on January 27th, 2002, Addison has six brothers and three sisters who look up to him. The young player had a promising rookie year with the Pitt Panthers and the first thing he wanted to do was to thank his parents. But who are Keisha Blackman and Rolando Addison?
While the football player often credits his parents for all their efforts and support, there is not much known about their individual lives. During his rookie year at Pitt Panthers where he scored 4 touchdowns over 666 yards, he made it to the Fred Biletnikoff Award watchlist after having a massive 1,593-yard season.

Amidst the scenes of his rise to success, the young star did not forget to mention his confidantes. “When I saw (the recognition), I took it in to show my mom, my family,” said Addison and added, “and then, once I came here, now it’s time to go work for it.
“My mom was very proud. I told her, ‘I ain’t got it yet.’” By “It” Addison means his selection in the NFL which would soon become a reality. Not only did Addison want to win the Fred Biletnikoff Award, but he had other big dreams that would only come true if he got selected for the NFL. In his own words, Addison often mentions, “I’m a big family person,” showing his deep connection with his family members.

Jordan Addison is the perfect son!
Addison was pretty clear about his goals and being a first-round pick was one of them. “First-round draft pick is definitely on top of my list,” he said. “I don’t want to settle for anything less.” But there’s just one more thing that was on the top of his mind before he sat down to watch the NFL Draft unfold. Believe it or not, he wanted his huge family to be a part of the same neighborhood.

“Get to the NFL and provide for my family,” he said. “Get my whole family in one neighborhood.” So, while we don’t know much about Addison’s parents and his childhood, one thing is clear. The intrinsic and moral values that the Minnesota Vikings receiver has in him are the fruits of his parents’ labor.
