Married to Marie, Joe Schoen has three children: a son and two daughters. His older daughter, Sydney Schoen, his son, Carson Schoen, and his youngest daughter, Harper Grace, who is only three years old.

Schoen’s son, Carson, often gives him advice when it comes to the draft. Last year, Carson suggested that his dad should pick QB Jayden Daniels. “Trade up and get him. You only get this job once. As it turned out, Jayden had one of the most successful rookie QB seasons of 2024, outperforming many of his fellow rookies. 

On April 23, just a day before the drafts, Carson posted an Instagram story about Jaxson Dart. He quickly set his account to private, but by then, people had already taken screenshots of the story. It immediately sparked speculation that the Giants were planning to draft him, and they did. It looks like Carson indeed has an eye for talent. Now, whether it was an intentional move or Carson is just a Jaxson Dart fan, only the Schoen family can tell. But Dart also has a connection to Joe’s daughter, Sydney. 

The Giants GM’s daughter’s connection to Jaxson Dart

Sydney Schoen has a connection to the young QB her father just drafted on Thursday night. That connection starts with the fact that Sydney goes to the same school Jaxson Dart did, Ole Miss. She even reposted Jaxson’s Instagram post about joining the Giants. “THIS IS HOME🍎 @nygiants,” the Ole Miss QB captioned as he shared a few snaps from his draft day.

But as Sydney proudly showed her support for her school’s alumnus, she unexpectedly found herself in hot water. It all started when, on Friday night, now-Browns QB Shedeur Sanders received a call from someone claiming to be Saints GM Mickey Loomis, saying they’d draft him.

Later, the prank call was traced back to a prankster wearing an Ole Miss sweatshirt. On social media, some users began accusing Joe Schoen’s daughter of leaking Sanders’ number. The drama took an unexpected turn when a few users noticed Sydney liking comments that suggested she was behind the leak. Her engagement with these comments led some to believe that she was indeed involved in the prank.

While there is no proof linking Sydney to the stunt, the entire episode was distasteful and uncalled for.
