Now this is what you call a childhood dream coming true! For Jerod Mayo, it felt just like that when he became the New England Patriots head coach this year. And a part of the credit for his success goes to his parents, who helped shape his professional background in football.
Jerod Mayo was born on February 23, 1986, to dad Wilson Hinds and mom Denise Mayo-Hinds. Besides Mayo, the couple also share two daughters and four sons, out of which three of his brothers were also linebackers like him. This clearly shows that Mayo has a football background, thanks to his parents, who guided their children and have been pillars of support for them since their childhood.
Now, this childhood part is evident from an incident shared by Mayo’s mom, Denise, in an earlier interview. She expressed how proud she felt seeing Jerod excel in football as a coach: “It’s always humbling when you see your children speak a dream and then achieve the dream.”
