Undoubtedly, with his athletic dad’s steadfast support, JC, 21, has carved his path into the NFL. Raised by his dad and mom, Monica Pruitt, in Oak Creek, he recently turned heads by catching his first NFL reception.

During the Titans vs. Commanders game on Sunday, OT Latham caught a pass by QB Will Levis and marked his first NFL reception. With this, the former Alabama Crimson Tide player became the sixth OL to catch a pass legally during the ongoing season. Since Tennessee selected him as the seventh-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, he got opportunities to play all 713 of the team’s offensive snaps at LT. His performance is a huge showcase of his talents and the strong values he learned from his parents.

Who is Jerome Latham?

NFL rookie OT shares a close bond with his dad, Jerome Latham. Just like him, his dad is also involved in sports. He has been mentoring as the football head coach at Milwaukee Bradley Tech. Besides this, Jerome Latham also serves as the basketball coach at the same school for the basketball girls team. Talk about one hat and two feathers!

In April this year, when Titans selected JC Latham, his dad expressed his exhilaration. “I’m just really happy and proud of this young man. He worked hard. You very seldom see, we were just talking about yesterday, you very seldom see someone go through the process and not have any hiccups,” the thrilled Dad stated.

The proud NFL dad also went on to rave about JC Latham’s determination to achieve his NFL aspirations. “We’re just blessed and so happy. The fact that this young man worked so hard. He worked his butt off. And now his dream is right there, right in front of him. He can touch it,” he added further. Showing immense pleasure at his growth, Jerome Latham doesn’t shy away from shedding happy tears. He wants his son to always touch new heights.
