Prematurely born on November 1, 1999, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to mom Tamiko Patterson and dad Charles Brown, Dyami Brown is one among five children of the couple. The NFL athlete’s younger brother, Khafre, also follows his brother’s path. Yes! He is the wide receiver at North Carolina. But all their children’s big support were Tamiko and Charles.

By profession, Dyami Brown’s father, Charles, is a football coach. Hence, obviously, he helped his children to succeed in their football careers, supporting them throughout their journey. On the other hand, Brown’s mother, Tamiko, is reportedly an artist by profession. However, she has been dealing with chronic health issues.

Unfortunately, Tamiko has been a kidney patient for almost three decades. To make it worse, she has even undergone multiple kidney transplants, reportedly perhaps twice. However, still, she is a strong mother who has been with her children at any phase of their lives. Probably, that’s why, Dyami Brown is much closer to his momma than others.

As Dyami Brown’s father, Charles Brown, is a football coach, he made sure to use this in his children’s upbringing. How? Well, he provides valuable insights related to football to his sons, helping them grow in the sport since their childhood. In addition, despite the health challenges, momma Tamiko Patterson also supported Brown by asking him to keep his head straight, avoiding any trouble coming his way.

When Dyami Brown was selected in the third round in the 2021 NFL draft, he received an emotional letter from his mom. In that note, Tomiko wrote, “My first moment of knowing you were destined to play football was when you entered that football field at a very young age – under the 7/8 year old age group – with a passion in your eyes and a willingness of your own to study the sport of football. To not only play the sport of football, but actually study the sport of football.” And hence, since that time, Tomiko promised herself to support Brown through thick and thin.
