Who are Steve and Becca Jones, who gave birth to four athletic kids?

Daniel Jones was born on May 27th, 1997, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Steve and Becca Jones. Although much is not known about them, it is believed that the two always support their children in their sports career. Jones’ mother, Becca, has deep ties to Davidson College, where she graduated and later saw three of her children also attend. She earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in Spanish and literature from the Queen’s University of Charlotte in 2008, following her earlier degree in political science from Davidson in 1985. As per reports, Becca currently works as a translator and tutor at Charlotte-Mecklenburg School, a career she began nine years ago.

Despite her busy schedule, attending Daniel’s games has always been a joy for her. While talking about Daniel’s father, he is a bit different from Becca. In contrast to what many expect from parents, his father, Steve Jones, initially had doubts about his son’s potential as a football player. Steve had seen Daniel more of a basketball player than a football star. However, Daniel’s success in the NFL has proven his father wrong, and Steve is now a proud dad who supports his son’s career.

His older sister, also named Becca, played field hockey at Davidson College, his younger brother Bates plays basketball at Davidson, and his younger sister Ruthie plays soccer at Duke University. Despite staying away from each other most of the time because of busy game schedules, the four siblings share a strong bond. However, during the Covid-19 quarantine period, they found themselves back under one roof in Charlotte, N.C.

Despite being high-level athletes themselves, they all enjoyed teasing Daniel, for needing the dining room for his work. Ruthie found it amusing how Daniel, known for his commitment and leadership, took charge of the household. She witnessed firsthand his dedication, which she believes translates well to his role as quarterback. When Daniel was selected in the 2019 NFL Draft, his siblings surprised him with a draft night message. They expressed their pride in him, believing that his draft was “so well-deserved.”

Now that Daniels will be starting his sixth season in the league, he will need to avoid injuries and prove his worth as a quarterback similar to his performance in 2022 (passer rating of 92.5 with 3205 yards, 15 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in 16 games) to maintain his momentum.
