Allegedly, three-time Pro Bowler shares a healthy bond with his mom, Lisa Ertz. She has been his constant supporter at every step of his way.  Just like her son, Lisa’s interest in football was hyped up many times. After witnessing plenty of football-related injuries to her four sons, she decided to lead a campaign to improve player safety on the field. Her non-charitable group aims to offer safe, reliable gear to young athletes from all kinds of socioeconomic backgrounds. And, interestingly, this is the organization that is behind the Zero1 helmet. It focuses on reducing impact force and the probability of concussions.

Lisa Ertz, mother of senior All-American tight end Zach Ertz, prefers such close games—so long as Stanford wins. She has never missed a home game since Zach started at Stanford, and has been present at every fan-lined walk the team takes from the football locker room to Gate 1 of Stanford Stadium, cheering her son on; it is a tradition as set for Ertz as the Cardinal earrings she wears to each game.

“What Shane went through really was very traumatic for me. I’m sure it is for a lot of moms. And so I’m not gonna say I don’t enjoy the experience, but I don’t enjoy the games,” she earlier stated. It indeed reflected her safety concern.

Not only this, but her role as a supportive mom is not a hidden factor in the NFL.  Former Stanford’s mom even did not miss a single home game while Zach was playing for Stanford. She cheers up her son wearing Cardinal earrings to every game.

She was married to Zach Ertz’s father, Doug. But when Zach was just 15 years old and in his sophomore year, Lisa parted ways from Doug. Despite their separation, they have been a constant supporter of their 4 kids.

Though Zach always lived with his mom, he also shared a strong bond with his dad. Allegedly, Doug played an elemental role in shaping his football journey.
