“She is a huge reason, if not the main reason, I’m here right now; she spoke all this into existence,” Bryce Huff said for his mom, Colette. With his mom’s steadfast support, he defied the odds and achieved his NFL aspirations. Despite being going undrafted in the NFL 2020 draft, he carved his path to the NFL. During the 2023 season, Bryce amazingly led all defenders with at least 300 pass-rushing snaps in the QB pressure rate with 21.8 percent and recorded 10 sacks in that season. Who is Colette Huff?

Beyond her role as a supportive mom, Colette Huff is deeply involved in philanthropy work. As per a NY Post report published in August 2021, she serves as a CEO with Dearborn YMCA, a non-profit organization in Mobile, Alabama. Through her charitable company, she focuses on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The Eagles’ defensive end adores his mom for her diligence. “She’s the hardest-working woman [Dearborn YMCA CEO since 2011] I know, very independent,” he once stated. Besides her professional career,  she is a supportive mother to her two athletic sons, Jordan, and Bryce. Colette raised them by developing persistence and resoluteness. Just like him, his older brother, Jordan is also a former Northern Illinois running back.

She consistently emphasizes her son’s diligence and dedication toward his dream. As per an ESPN report published in November 2023, Bryce Huff’s mother adored her son’s meticulousness. “Everybody always said he was underrated this, underrated that. He never stopped working toward his dream,” she affirmed.

Undoubtedly, Bryce Huff’s mother fostered his NFL dreams. In an interview, he revealed his mother’s principle, which he has used to achieve success throughout his life. “Every morning before school she was telling us we can accomplish anything we put our minds to. She’s a huge inspiration,” he stated. It indeed showcased that his mom shaped his athletic trajectory.

However, achieving his NFL goals was not easy for him, he had to face many disappointments in his routes. The former Memphis player didn’t get an invite to the Senior Bowl in his hometown of Mobile, and it upset him a lot. “We were looking so forward to him coming and playing in his hometown,” his mom added.  “And when he didn’t get an invite to the Senior Bowl, it was just so hurtful,” she continued.

But, it was his mom who kept motivating him throughout. Standing at 6-foot-3 inch and weighing 255 pounds, Huff disclosed his mom’s words behind his positive mindset and accomplishments. “In my mind I’m unstoppable,” he stated. “Anything I put my mind to I can accomplish. I don’t back down from anybody,” NFL DE further added.

Thus, later, Bryce proved himself further by becoming the most distinguished NFL player. And, when he signed a three-year, $51.1 million deal with the Eagle after playing 4 seasons with the Jets, he first called his mom.
