Andrew Thomas comes from a musically inclined family and sings in the church choir. Besides letting the player learn drums and piano, the New York Giants offensive tackle’s family also helped him achieve his football career. The most important role in his NFL journey is played by his parents.

Born on January 22, 1999, in Georgia, Andrew Thomas is the older child and the only son of mother Belinda and father Andre Thomas. Besides Andrew, the couple, also share a daughter, Brianna Thomas, and have been supporting both children since the start. But for how long do Belinda and Andre know each other?

Well, the answer to this is at least 29 years! How they met each other is still a mystery, but Belinda and Andre have been together for 29 years now since their marriage. That means the couple got married in 1995, and they celebrated their 27th anniversary on April 23, 2022. Sharing a customized video, Belinda wished her partner, “Celebrating with my Honey. Happy 27th Anniversary to my Love & BFF. May God continue to Bless our union!! Love you to Life!! (with two red heart emojis).”

Talking about their profession, Belinda’s work role isn’t known, but Andrew Thomas’ father was a carpenter. However, unfortunately, he had to leave his profession due to his health issues. It was the time when Andrew was in his freshman year with Georgia Bulldog Football, and just after son’s two games, Andre suffered a stroke that forced him to retire from his job. If he were healthy, the family would have been in South Bend to support Andrew, but that didn’t happen, so they stayed back.

It was his high school coach, Andrew Thomas,  who had to break the news of his father’s health to Andrew.

After the stroke, Andrew Thomas’ father, Andre Thomas’ health deteriorated. So, it was on his football coach to update him on father’s health. While recalling that scene, in an interview, coach Kevin Johnson expressed, “That was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, the uncertainty of it, and not being able to tell [Thomas] if his dad is going to live or die.” Nevertheless, the couple, especially his father’s health, is fine, and they have even attended his NFL games many times. In addition to that, it always feels special to see a child grow and succeed at this level.

When Andrew Thomas’ name was called out in the 2020 NFL Draft, his mother, Belinda Thomas, started “jumping up and praising & dancing” to celebrate her son’s achievement. While recalling that incident too, Johnson said, “His parents are pretty conservative, real quiet. For him to be drafted that high, the No. 4 pick, there’s a lot of emotion for everyone close to him. It was just good to see them having some luck.”

And today, Andrew Thomas is making his mom Belinda and dad Andre Thomas proud!
